The staff seemed a bit unprepared at times. They didn't help me with the lock on my locker, and I didn't quite understand why I needed to return my towel because they didn't explain it to me properly. Furthermore, the bathroom in my shared room wasn't very clean. I found the hostel a bit pricey compared to other hostels in the area for what it offered.

Mad Monkey is a very cool hostel with good amenities and a great place to meet people from all over the world. The location in Uluwatu is excellent.

Electric outlet next to my bed did not work. Staff could maybe be more engaging (we also stayed at madmonkey Gili T and they were way more involved in the hostel activities).

The hostel is really cool, nice pool and bar. Nut huge but it has much potential.

Noisy because it is a party hostel. The room did not feel clean and it was kinda smelly. The shower was clogged. The bar/restaurant is not good at all. The food is mediocre. I ordered an avocado toast and it came half empty and it was tasteless. Expensive for the quantity. If you want a calm and relaxed atmosphere this is not the place at all.

The hostel is nice. It has pool, jacuzzi, sauna, cold plunge and gym. The staff is nice. Free shots everyday. If you want a party hostel and to meet people this place is nice.

The bathroom was always leaking water so we had to ask them to constantly mop the floor as the water was coming into the room and our bags on the floor were getting wet.

The only thing I did not like is how the bed felt damp. Maybe too much moisture in room.

As a solo traveller it was good place to socialise and make new friends. The property also does social events every night which is really good. The place looked modern and nice. Staff are friendly. Lots of restaurants down the road and close to the beach.

The bathrooms are in the dorm, with separate sinks that are in the room. Everyone inside can hear everything, an uncomfortable situation.

The location is right next to the beach. The staff were very friendly. This hostel has a pool, sauna, ice bath, and jacuzzi. There’s a bar connected to it that has daily activities.

Building works and loud drills next to our wall (during high season) meant we couldn’t rest when we were sick. When we told the staff they said we were drunk. When they finally got what we meant they said “only 2 more hours maximum”, but it then carried for another 4+ hours.

The room was very damp, holes in bedding, blood stain on the throw, leak under the sink, unclean towels and the shower smelled like sewage when turned on. I left after one night despite paying £300 for four nights. Budget accommodation with a luxurious price tag. Far cheaper and nicer accommodation all over uluwatu, was grateful to have spent my time elsewhere to properly enjoy the area. Would not recommend, unless you’re a young boy as this seems to be the demographic.

Wifi could have worked a little better in the rooms but is it’s a big hostel with a lot of people using it so things wouldn’t work as quick.

The rep was so friendly and helpful. The facilities were great, especially the pool and beds were comfy!

I think I'm just too old for hostels. The bathrooms were pretty bad.

It had a pool and it was close to a nice beach, the staff were also lovely.
