How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe food, coffee, view and host were all amaazingg. Its a bit small but it got everything you need. Its truly an amazing place and I would not have wanted anything else.
The only noise you have is from animals like birds and stuff but if you have earbuds with you its no problem.

Verified reviewEverything. Don’t expect any luxury, just book if you’re willing to enjoy a genuine experience in the middle of the rice fields. For us it was an amazing experience. The bamboo bungalows are basic but have everything you need and were very clean. I can’t describe the sensation of falling asleep with the sound of the animals and wake up in the amazing views of the rice fields. The owners were very kind and prepared us a delicious meal when we arrived late in the evening. Thanks you 🙏

Verified reviewI highly recommend this place. because the nuance is very unique. And also cheap price. you feel like sleeping in a rice field with a traditional house. if you are lucky, you will see the rice fields before they are harvested. the water in the bathroom is cold. My girlfriend and I stayed here because we were going to Ubud the next day. here learn new cultures and new perspectives. I tried an Indonesian alcoholic drink called tuak for free, I also required a lot of investment with the owner. the management of this place is very friendly, I ordered Indomie for breakfast and it was also delicious...
Everything is good
thank you so much for stay in my palace.

Verified reviewThe little bamboo huts are super cool! Very basic, but with a floor bed, fan and some storage. Lounging area underneath, and bathrooms behind the kitchen/seating area. The morning views over the rice fields were magical. And we were lucky enough to be there when the ladies were harvesting. It’s super rustic, lots of sounds of nature and not much around - but you can grab/gojek, and you become a part of Made’s family - my daughter and his daughter played together daily! It’s set back from the road a bit, and the pathways down are stepping stones so not ideal for suitcases, but Made was very happy to help me out. We loved it our stay here
thank you so much for your stay iam Ferry happy.

Verified reviewI fell in love with Lumbung Langit! The moment I arrived I knew it was something special. The walk every day in and out of the rice field, the accommodation itself, the view from my hut, the breakfast, but most of all the people kept me here 10 days longer than I initially meant to stay and everything was a dream. A quiet, authentically local and nature immersed stay is exactly what I wanted. Made and his family go above and beyond to be present and generous with guests. They took me to help the neighboring farmers harvest rice and it was a great experience. It's a really fun ride to/from Ubud if you need to go to town. Also great warungs accessible just a walk or bike ride away. If you want somewhere calm to connect with the outdoors this is the place for you. Thank you for everything! ♡ I'd come back in a heartbeat. I hope to see you again
No complaints!

Verified reviewI absolutely loved everything honestly! It was my second time staying there and I will 100% come back. The food, the hospitality, the comfort, the location, the rooms, the nature, the views, everything was an absolute dream. But honestly best of all is Made (our host) and his family. You’ll feel so good being there simply by spending time with them. They’re so kind and friendly and will make sure you feel at home. Thank you so much Made.

Verified reviewWe absolutely loved everything about the place! The hut was so stunning. The beds were comfy. The outdoor lounge under the huts were so cool and came with a speaker for us to play music with. The views were absolutely BREATHTAKING! Made, our host, was super accomodating and friendly. The breakfast was so good too! We had Balinese pancakes and tea, with a fruit platter & fried banana too. It was so yummy! The location was perfect. 10 min ride from tegallalang rice terrace. The price is 100% worth it honestly for all of that. We definitely plan on coming back!!
Everything was perfect!!

Verified reviewThis wonderful guesthouse is situated in the middle of rice fields. The atmosphere is very comfortable, with nice breeze always blowing through the fields. It gets a little chilly at night, but not cold, just perfect with a bonfire in the backyard. You can find many warungs, laundromats (5k/kg), and other shops in the area, so it's very convenient as well. The host is an exceptionally generous man, with his sweet wife and daughters, he will make sure you have everything you need. He prepared breakfast every morning, and even dinner too! He grilled awesome chicken (one whole chicken for only 50k) with bonfire for us. Every moment was magical, if you are looking for a special experience, this place is it. It also provides very strong wi-fi, which was a huge plus for me. You have to walk through the rice field after you park your bike, but it just adds another magical feeling to this place. It's in the middle of the nature so you'll see some insects, but surprisingly not many mosquitoes. Lastly, you can buy naturally fermented palm wine which they produce in the backyard for only 10k per bottle. You have everything you need here, absolutely the best place I've ever stayed. Very highly recommended!

Verified reviewTruly magical! If you want to be surrounded by nature and quintessential rice fields, come here. The property and its common areas are stunning, the huts are super cute, clean, and have just enough space for 2, and the family that runs this guest house / hostel are incredibly kind, generous, and helpful. They run free workshops in the morning, so you can learn how to make chanang for example, which was a really nice way to experience Balinese culture. Then at night, there are fireflies, stars, and a chorus of calming sounds coming from the various crickets and frogs. The combination of the sounds and the comfy bed have me sleeping like a baby. The location is perfect too, as you’re right between Ubud and various temples, waterfalls, and Mount Batur. I recommend opting for the breakfast option as it’s only 10k more and you get coffee, Balinese pancakes, fruits, and sometimes some other little cakes. We came for 2 nights, and have extended our stay to 4 nights and counting… For what you get, the price is totally fair too. We’ve enjoyed this stay more than we enjoyed our stay at a villa that cost 3x more because here we’re completely immersed in nature and the rice fields. So relaxing. Would 100% recommend!
