Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaHot water only lasts about 5 minutes (just enough for one quick shower). The rain shower is fixed overhead. • No fridge in the room. They let us store a few things at the one at the reception. • Lots of mosquitoes. • The mosquito net over the bed is almost useless – the fabric strips are too short and don’t close the space fully. • Bedsheets had stains. • Only two towels provided – they were fine, and I assume you can ask for more. • Walls are quite dirty; cleaning is surface-level only – a deep clean is definitely needed. • The room is quite dark (especially compared to the bright outdoor bathroom). • Bottom line: I’d consider staying here again, but only at a lower price. We paid €65/night, and honestly, it’s not worth that much.
We stayed for 3 nights at Lullaby Bungalows (Bungalow no. 2). The location is central yet feels slightly secluded — a nice mix. However, every night we could hear loud music from nearby clubs, which might be a dealbreaker for light sleepers. The biggest plus: the lush garden, which is beautifully maintained. We really enjoyed lounging on the rattan sunbeds in the shade, especially during our last couple of days. The pool is clean but very small – more decorative than functional. The bathroom had lovely natural light – perfect for doing makeup ;). (There’s also a large gecko living behind the mirror; when it "sings", the whole mirror shakes! 😄) The bed was fine – comfy duvet with a cover. There’s a water dispenser in the room - with cold, hot, and room temp water – very useful. Breakfast was included in the price and it was traditional Balinese. On the first day, a male staff member who clearly wasn’t familiar with the kitchen, took ages to make two pancakes, and they turned out super thick 🤪.

SpainThe towels provided smelled very clean but weren’t in the best condition, as they looked very old and with permanent stains. They do provide though more towels (beach and shower) any day on request. The room felt very dark, even with all lights turned on, making it difficult to pack a suitcase/get ready after sunset. Last, it feels important to mention that everyday, there was lizard poo all over the bedroom (in the middle of the room, in the corners, and also on the bed.) The room was very clean when we arrived, but we had to clean up the poo on a daily basis and it didn’t feel the most comfortable/hygenic to sleep in a bed that we had just removed poo from. Of course, it’s understandable that there lizards in this kind of climate! But maybe steps could be taken to prevent the number of lizards that could enter the accomodation (seal large gaps around the edge of the doors and the roof, or put down repellent, for example).
Beautiful accommodation. They have lovely gardens which are very well cared for and that make the space feel very unique. The pool is very clean and it even feels like a private pool, as it is only shared between a handful of bungalows. The bungalows are spacious with good working aircon and the outdoor shower is fun and always a good temperature. Breakfast is tasty though not the biggest portions. We told them that it was a birthday celebration trip and they decorated the room accordingly! Location is great for walking/scootering around Uluwatu, close to most popular spots. Much more preferable to support a family run accommodation like this rather than large resorts that can be found all over the island!

New ZealandLove the outdoor bathroom but shower tiles should have been cleaner. Linen/towels were old and well used. Room was spacious yet not overly inviting. Rooms/linen could do with updating.
Great location!! Love the breakfast each morning. Great value for money. Spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Beautiful property and lovely pool.

AustraliaWe often arrived home to a few fresh gecko poops on the floor. Luckily staff regularly cleaned the room so they weren’t there for too long.
The location was perfect. Close enough to everything but further enough to escape the noise of the night life. Loved the pool and the free breakfast was delicious! The staff were very friendly and helpful!

GreeceThe pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while, the water was very blurry so we didn't even try swimming. For the price of the room for two nights (2.5 mil IDR) we expected more of the breakfast which was just ok.
The hotel was quiet and had nice architectural details. The open-air bathroom was certainly an experience, but the hot water lasted only 10 minutes maximum. The staff was friendly.

New ZealandSome problems with the rooms. Our first room had no mirror and no hot water, but we were moved to another room with no fuss. Unfortunately the aircon was faulty in the next room, and we needed the aircon because it is very sheltered there with no breeze. If you are older, like us, and you don’t ride a scooter or get a scooter taxi, it is quite challenging to get around, and to get to the beaches.
It is small, only 6 separate bungalows makes it very personal. The room is large and the outdoor bathroom is cool. Lovely helpful, gentle, kind staff. It is a quiet location even though it is just off the main street with bars and clubs. Beautiful swimming pool. Close to lots of great restaurants and shops on the main road, also close to beaches and wonderful crazy clifftop cafés - if you make the effort to get to them!

AustraliaBreakfast juice actually could do with more fruit content in it, not 75% water. Also some of the staff had difficulty with English. Maybe the fridge could stock some soft drink to purchase and not just beer.
Room was good and comfortable, pool is great, breakfast was mostly good except for the juice offered which was mostly water. Location to beaches was great.
