How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

While staff and service was good, it’s advertised as 5* accommodation which it is definitely not. The nicely designed/decorated houses are really cute but also enable lizards and bugs to easily enter the bedrooms… also open air bathrooms welcome animals/insects… which all should not be part of 5* experience. There is also nothing appealing in the immediate surroundings, including restaurants, which really confines you to the resort. The drive between main road and resort, is also very uncomfortable.

Verified reviewSmall, boutique feel, customer-centric and wonderfully beautiful setting, both views and decorations of dining room and rooms. Staff were lovely and went out of their way to be helpful.
Definitely caters more to European tastes than Asian. We tried a few Indonesian dishes but they just didn’t match the quality of the more international dishes.

Verified reviewWe accidentally booked this hotel not realizing it was so far away, but we had a lovely time and the team made our stay wonderful. It’s actually much closer to places such as the Gates of Heaven, Water Palace and even the Mount Batur volcano hike. It’s a very long drive from the airport though. 😂But lovely!
It’s another 3+ hour drive from the airport so be prepared as that can be a lot. It was also just our luck that Bali had its huge blackout while we were there. A generator for the water pump would have been nice and they had another electricity outage (not whole island) as we were leaving but again, the joys of a more rural Bali. We had a great time though so no complaints.

Verified reviewBreakfast was truly amazing. I didn't need to eat a thing until dinner. I had a beach bungalow and had to stagger at least 10 steps to an infinity pool! Plenty of sunloungers and towels. Lots of shade as the sun is quite fierce. Room was very traditional and beautifully designed with an amazing bathroom. Beach gets cleaned by the staff once a day which is unusual in Bali so a big thumbs up for that. There was good snorkeling equipment. There were games in the restaurant area. There was a power cut whilst I was there but we were still able to eat. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The bungalows are spread out so you really do get a feeling of space and tranquility. It was very quiet. Owners and staff were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble.

Verified reviewThis place is simply paradise on earth. When you see the pictures online, they can't render the beauty that you will admire when you are really there. It is a new resort, built on the beach in 2022, fully in harmony with the Bali style. All bungalows are extremely charming and provided with all you need for your comfort. Truly love the fact that breakfast is available anytime, so it's a treat not to have to put a wake up call. The restaurant is also available for lunch, dinner and snacks until 23:00. The kindness of the hosts (Catherine and Laurent) and all the employees of the resort is the cherry on the cake to make this stay remarkable.

Verified reviewAmazing accomodations (there are 9 villa's on walking distance from a beautiful house reef). Wake up at 04:30 to spot dolphins (2 out of 3 times you will see them insted going to commercial Lovina.
