The suite we were in didn’t have net/privacy curtains, so we had to keep the full curtains closed most of the time which was a bit of a shame. There was no curtain in the washroom (separate to the shower room) and it looked directly out to the pool. Whilst it was a nice view, it didn’t give a lot of privacy when using the room.

The shower was powerful which is great but then not good for the bathroom as the water gets everywhere .

Perfect sized room and peaceful location. I only had a two night stay, would recommend eye mask and ear plugs as the curtain across sliding doors does not block light at night and the frogs be froggin 🤷🏻‍♀️ Basic breakfast is available but prefer to visit a cafe with more variety.

The location seemed a bit remote, At night, the small street was very dark, and then the main road crazy traffic. I didn't enjoy the area for just wondering around. The room curtains were like a veil. they didn't feel private, especially at night time with room lights on. The bathroom needs some attention when showering everything gets wet.

It was like living in a mini version of ubud. So peaceful and beautiful grounds. Staff were friendly. Can join the queue first for blessing and reading.

Bathtub was dirty, surroundings were very loud and had a hard time sleeping because of it. What sounded like crickets screeched every morning, there was construction in the morning as well and what sounded like a dishwasher next to our room very often.

As in most areas of Bali the construction next door was a real shame as the property has such a beautiful spiritual ambience that the constant whirring of machinery right next door does take a little away from it, and the workmen staring over was a little unsettling so maybe a larger fence could be constructed at the boundary. The vegan food options at breakfast were limited so we went out to eat most days. There are many caged animals and birds in the garden, something I had not read in previous reviews and it is very common in Bali. I believe the family do work with animal conservation groups.

I stayed at this property because I am a big Eat Pray Love fan and so to have the opportunity to stay at Ketut Liyer family's house was a dream come true and it was a dream. It's a beautiful property, traditionally Balinese, the gardens are lovely and the property has a real spiritual feel to it, I felt at home there and very comfortable and safe. The decor of the rooms is plain but stylish and they were very clean. The pool in the garden was a real treat that I used daily. Location wise it is just a short walk to the main street with shops and restaurants within walking distance. The staff are so kind and helpful, it was my birthday during my stay and on arrival I was so surprised to find my bed decorated with flowers and even a warm flower bath waiting for me in the bathroom. The palm reading and blessing from Nyoman was so very special. We had the most wonderful stay thank you.

We feel that the room we stayed in was very basic and the bathroom was low scale, it could do with some refurbishment. Also the doors have quite big gaps down even when shut and locked so easily allows mosquitos and small lizards in.

We loved visiting the Liyer spirit house and staying with ketut Liyer and his family, they were all very welcoming and friendly and the animals on site are a lovely asset. Having some healing with ketut was amazing!

Liyer Spirit House was for an afternoon and overnight stay with my two young grandchildren and they loved the beautiful fish pond, the exotic birds, the white squirrels and they were delighted with the friendly resident cat. The property is lovely, with beautiful vegetation and statues, backing onto forest. The pool was small but refreshing...there is building happening near the pool which brought my score down as its not comfortable to lounge at the pool near a work site. The workers were not noisy, just there. The room was a good size and clean, bedding was comfortable. There was an electric kettle but no fridge which one would normally have at this price. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely choose to come back in the future.

There are two buildings - an older one and one new one. The old building has dimly lit rooms that are a bit damp, and the bathroom is not great. However, the new building is perfect in every way.

The hotel is great. Although it is situated a bit off the beaten path, it is still within walking distance from of the centre. Despite being located near a busy street (although not directly on the street itself), you will find peace and quiet, along with a beautiful green garden and a very nice swimming pool. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Moreover, the new building features bathtubs. The staff is very nice and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel, as it is a perfect place to relax.

Liyer Spirit House is wonderful, I had to move rooms due to the smell setting of my asthma. The staff were wonderful and very understanding and accommodating. I was very grateful that they were able to assist so easily without drama or fuss.

Wonderful genuine customer service, very good with communication and wonderful at helping solve problems. The gardens were beautiful. Peaceful, serene place, just what I needed to restore a little.
