Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNothing to do with the accommodation! But some cats or something that made some repetitive loud noise for half an hour disturbing my sleep, but the accommodation was great.
Spacious bedroom, hospitable staff, decent breakfast. I was only there for one night but it was a great entry into Bali. Probably a 10 min walk from the main road.

New ZealandThere needs to be comfortable chairs to sit around the pool and in the outdoor lounge. Breakfast could do with a revamp
Great location and very well priced. The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of the way to ensure we didnt want for anything. We booked all three rooms of our area which then included our own private pool. The outdoor lounge/Kitchen area was a cool place to hang out. Perfect sized fridge to keep everything cold. The pool was perfectly situated to be in the sun in the morning and then shaded in the afternoon. Rooms were well maintained and had everything needed for a perfect stay. The included breakfast was good, but a bit more selection would go a long way

United KingdomThe fact we had to leave.
The staff were amazing, very helpful with our ongoing transport and laundry! The villa feels so private and you feel completely alone - if you want a peaceful private stay then this is the place for you. Location is amazing, a walk away from the beach and touristy restaurants, but also with a lot of local warungs around.

AustraliaOne of the windows (central) in my room 2.1 could not be closed properly. The handle is broken and needs replacing and the hole that the lock sits in is not wide enough.

AustraliaNothing, it was excellent.
Our group of three each had a room in one villa complex with a pool and outdoor kitchen. It was comfortable, very quiet, spacious and stylish. Located in a quiet part of town, we enjoyed the walk through the back streets to the main street, about 10 minutes and another 5 minutes to the beach. Staff were very helpful and available around the clock with a night watch. Breakfast was good and convenient.

ThailandSome things need to be updated or repaired.
The room is spacious and clean, it was a very comfy place to spend a few days. The space is only shared by a couple of other rooms and feels rather private. The staff is welcoming and helpful, I informed them that our flight was delayed and they waited for us to arrive in the middle of the night. The location is great, easy to access the main road and all the facilities, but tucked away enough to be a peaceful resting haven.

FinlandWe were staying with 2 small kids and I had included them in the reservation, but only 2 breakfasts are included per room. This was not communicated while booking and caused some confusion.
The rooms were clean and very quiet! Apparently our loud, screaming toddler couldn't be heard to the room directly below us. Pool was nice, the kitchenette by the pool was handy to have. Breakfast was decent.

CanadaBreakfast was nice but there are so many good options for breakfast around the area that we found we didn't utilise the complimentary breakfast all that often.
Lovely spot in a quiet area but still close enough to everything. We had a baby and walked with the pram to most places. While it's about a 5 minute walk to the main street/area it's an easy walk and one we never minded. Pool was lovely and the staff are all super friendly . Room was bigger than we expected which was nice and we never had to share the pool as you only ever share with 1-2 other villas.

AustraliaThe only thing we didn't like were the showers. Some nights, there was no hot water, but I think it depended on whether other guests were showering at the same time. The water pressure was also really bad and there wasn't much they could do about it when I asked. Our first night here, we didn't really feel comfortable as it's tucked away and right down the end of a dark laneway. But, we got used to the fairly quick walk to the main strip and warmed up to the villa by the next night. Although it can seem shady, it actually makes for a very quiet and peaceful stay.
We liked the facilities and size of the room. Air con was amazing and the rooms have a mini fridge, tv and safe. The pool and gardens were lovely. We also liked the location, as it's about an 8 minute walk to the main strip and 15 minutes to the beach where there are plenty of restaurants and sunbeds. There is a really nice warung close by that make excellent coffee and smoothie bowls. And koa spa is about a 10 minute walk away- here you'll have the best massages/facials and they do yoga classes too. The staff were very friendly, and you can rent a bicycle each day which is a great option for riding along the board walk. The beds are a little hard but I didn't mind it myself. The cushions and sheets made up for it. Breakfast is very basic, but again, we didn't mind. I was happy with some fruit and delicious banana pancakes. Overall, very good value for money. Side note: I couldn't really work out the design/arrangement of the villa by looking at the photos. But basically, there are 2 private villas that each have a pool. Ours had a room downstairs and 2 rooms upstairs. My sister was in the room downstairs (family room) and I had one room upstairs. Upon arrival, there was already a couple staying in the other upstairs room. During our stay, three different groups stayed in that room, so there was a lot of coming and going. But we were out most of the time so it didn't bother us. There is also another pool by the kitchen which I believe, anyone could use.

Linda Villa is a quiet haven in Sanur. There are warungs within walking distance or is very easy to get a taxi. Beds were comfy and rooms cleaned every day. Air conditioning works really well in both of our rooms and the pools are great. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. There is a hot and cold water dispenser in the small shared kitchens. They sorted out laundry for us at a very reasonable cost. Breakfast is delicious and there is choice. Showers were warm and good pressure. We would come back in a heart beat. It was ideal for our family of four. The WiFi is good too! Thank you Linda Villa!
