The staff were absolutely lovely! Great location, opposite the lilly pond, easy to walk up and down the main st. Menu had a good variety. Bed was comfy and villa was clean and relaxing.

The trade-off for the cheaper price is the proximity to a nice beach. Further west the beach is nicer, but the prices increase. Room 5 doesn't get a lot of sun, so drying clothes isn't easy. There are laundry shops close by. Bring your own power adaptor.

Shower head broke on last evening and water volume was poor (minor)

Superb family room, spacious and comfy with access to beautiful grounds and pool. Friendly staff and on site restaurant made for a very relaxing 4 day stay. Outside area ideal for kids, relaxing, Al fresco dining. Noise from main road not too bad. Lotus lake nearby and nearby temple v picturesque. Plenty of other eating options within short walk

The door locks seemed a bit worn out, though it didn’t really affect our sense of safety, as the place felt very secure. Also, the hot water was only mildly warm — which might be a downside for some guests.

We booked a family room at Forty Eight Resort, and it truly lived up to the name! The space was quite large and even came with a small private pool, a fully equipped kitchen (with utensils, gas, and microwave), and its own private compound within the resort — which made it feel both peaceful and secure. The open-air bathroom was an unexpected surprise 😂 but since there are no buildings or cameras overlooking it, it felt private and turned out to be a unique and enjoyable experience. Everything was well maintained, including the bathroom. The resort is located beside a scenic little pond with a walking track around it — perfect for a stroll. There’s also a small, quiet beach nearby where you can relax in the water, usually with just a few locals around. All in all, a wonderful stay — I only wish I could’ve stayed longer!

It’s a bit tired !! Behind the new curtains the old ones still there … so that felt a bit dirty .

Nicely landscaped and when the renovation is finished it will be an improved reception area . The welcoming staff wonderful . Lovely clean pool & areas to sit in . Opposite Vincent’s ! A plus .. as it was jazz night .

We encountered 2 spiders and 1 cockroach. Weird wiring of lightng switches and plug-in sockets.

There are bugs around, they provide bug killer, but we had a big spider in the room which we asked security to help us with and he refused. This was a bit of a bummer as both of us were scared and didn’t want to kill it ourselves. Would have been nice to have help but we managed.

The pool and little pool cabañas were lovely! Our room was super clean and the most comfortable bed I’ve stayed in on Bali!

The room furnishings and fittings were very tired. The hair dryer tripped the power. At night the main light switch turned off all the plugs so no boiling kettle or charging phones or electric mosquito repellent etc. Staff was kept to a minimum.

I liked the pool very much and the garden. Wiwid the receptionist is amazing. She made our stay perfect with her assistance. Snorkeling and the spider boat trip was super. Our guide Norman was excellent.

I would recommend to have ceiling fans in the room aswell as Aircon for an option. Sometimes the Aircon is not good for your health. And I didn't feel too good after staying - respiratory problems. I would recommend a deep clean on facilities also.

Loved the facilities . The pool was fab! Spent everyday in the pool, even to cool down at night. Very quiet place right beside the lotus lagoon which is beautiful. We received a welcome drink on arrival - nice touch, and cold towels. Wiwid is fantastic, always a friendly smile!

The accomodations need some repairs. The cleaner forgets to clean under the bed.

People are the highlight point of 48h, all the attendants are amazingly friendly. The pool and the garden are very nice.

Outstanding staff. They could not do enough for you. Food at the restaurant was exceptional. Main pool and villas very nice. Tremendous value for money. Only negative....no direct beach access. However only a short walk away.
