How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe villa was lovely with good amenities and facilities. The rooms were well kept with fresh sheets every 2nd day. The breakfast was always good as were the dinners at the restaurant. All of the staff were excellent and so caring, we were treated more like friends than just guests. Nothing was too hard for the staff, they would always ask if we were in need of anything. We will be back again. A special shout out to Harry and Rani who were wonderful to Sue and I. Plus all of the other staff and room service.
You definitely need your own transport if you stay there. Although you are well back from the bypass the traffic does not make it safe to walk across the road. You need a taxi or a scooter to get anywhere around Jimbaran from the location. As for the villa, just be careful standing in the bath when showering it can be a bit slippery.

Cannot bring outside food from online order to your stay because they have an in house restaurant. You can get food from hotel yourself though and eat. No cutleries in kitchen though. Also good places to eat are little far away

Verified reviewWhat a great central hotel! About 10 minutes from the airport, 30 minutes to Sanur harbor (to Nusa Penida) and 1.5 hour to Padang Bai harbor (to Gili/Lombok). The staff are so friendly and helpful. The beds are super comfy. The pool is lovely. Room was spacious and clean. We booked a lagoon room and felt it was an exceptional value for the price. They store your luggage which was really convenient for weekend trips to Lombok, Nusa Penida, and Gili islands.
Only downside is the restaurant, which you will see in a lot of reviews. They don’t allow outside food delivery, and the restaurant has a limited menu that isn’t that great. Just plan ahead for this and get food on your way to the hotel or if you are out and about. The breakfast that’s included wasn’t the best breakfast we had, but also not the worst. At least it is substantial. For us, how great the rest of the hotel was overshadowed the minor inconvenience of the restaurant.

the breakfast is in comparison to bali standards really bad and expensive. Also the restaurant itself. And they don’t allow food orders from grab or gojek which is just rude. Should make their food better instead of banning all others.

Verified reviewI stayed at this hotel for a couple of days, and it was a deeply disappointing experience. Their strict no-cancellation policy trapped me into keeping the booking despite my concerns, which felt unfair and inflexible. The restriction on ordering outside food until 9 PM was absurd—apparently, they want you to rely solely on their overpriced restaurant for most of the day. The room policy is equally frustrating, limiting occupancy to just two adults, making it impractical for anyone needing a bit more flexibility. On a positive note, the room service was decent—prompt and polite, which was a small relief. But that’s where the good ends. The mini bar looked like it hadn’t been updated in decades, outdated items that no one would want. The toiletries provided were cheap, flimsy, and barely usable.

We wanted to leave the next day then they offered a fairly new built villa which was ok so we stayed. Only good experience was with staff, ladies at the reception were so nice 🙂
