Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThere is a gorgeous pool and many friendly staff. The view from the upstairs bedroom was lovely. The buildings are beautiful. It is easy to find and a great location in Ubud with many restaurants and shops and supermarkets within walking distance.

AustraliaEverything was great, nothing we didn't like.
The staff were great and went out of their way to resolve a room issue. Fantastic location, a short stroll down an alley way off the main road and the bustling streets. The local white bunny and duck were a highlight for our 4 year old. The pool area and garden setting were nice and well maintained. We enjoyed breakfast each morning at 'Atman Nourish Cafe' a stone's throw from the guest house, providing tasty vegan options!

United KingdomThe noise: strange background noises from somewhere (the pool?) that kept me awake. Also they are renovating which is a shame: it was perfectly charming before
I like the view, the traditional architecture and location; the big bed it comfy and the huge corner bath tub is a plus

JapanThe bedding needs to be renewed. I wish they would buy a new comforter and sheet to replace them. The new curtain would be nice too. The door needs to be stable and shut completely. If they fix these, I will come back again.
The location is perfect and quiet. The view from the balcony is very nice. The staff is sweet and helpful. The place was under construction, but the noise was minimal.

AustraliaWe weren't actually unhappy about anything really. Nevertheless....as we are finding out ,guest houses are cheaper for a reason. Less appointments and facilities than a villa. So .....not a lot storage/hanging space, not really any cooking facilities,no vanity, less table/chairs. It will be interesting to see what extras might be added after the renovations are completed. I didn't quite pack the camp kitchen but we came prepared. Camp utensils and the like.(Thanks Aldi special buys🙂) So we navigated any needs easily. Head up to the bigger Delta Dewata on Jl Adong and grab the stuff you need and you'll be right.
We are doing a budget trip this time,so are checking out what guest houses and bungalows have to offer, not villa's. The main part of Kun Kun is undergoing renovations atm. There are only the four rooms facing the rice paddy available. Renovations due to finish approximately July/August.Then the other 4 will be renovated. There wasn't much noise from the works.A bit of angle grinding/cutting here and there. The works didn't impede our stay. Location is excellent, and beyond expectations, it was actually really quiet. Our room faced the old rice paddy and the fish ponds, which was lovely. Room 9,next to reception. Just off Jl Hannoman easy access to everything. A/C good. Hot water ok. Had a bath. Fridge. Small but decent pool.....some people said they thought the pool was a bit green... Hmm the tiles are green in colour my friends. Dare I say ,that the powers of observation are sometimes not that good on the planet. I checked, ran my hands on all the surfaces,it's clean. Nice porch, nice view. Bed comfortable but it was hard. That didn't bother us as we like a firm bed.But for others, I think it might not be enjoyable. Set breakfast. No choices but we were happy with our breakfasts. The banana matcha crepes/pancakes pretty damn fine, omelettes, fried egg on toast, bowl of fruit and your coffee or tea. If you are one those slightly more delicate people who have a distinct palette then this probably won't be for you.🤣 Staff all nice and in general a relaxing atmosphere. 5 nights for $260 AUD was exceptional value. It's about a 50m walk-in from Hannoman.I will post a pic of the sign. Atman Nourish Kafe & Cafe Angsa are the on the corner of the lane to the guest house. We will gladly stay again without doubt. Oh and Mr Kun is walking around at times, he's a nice bloke to have chat with. Big 👍👍👍's up.

AustraliaThe only issue I had this trip which is why I have a 9/10 for comfort was that I think the sheets are polyester and I got a heat rash- I would wake up hot in the night as I’m used to cotton sheets- or possibly it could have been the strong washing powder or both. Would be great to have cotton sheets like I do at my other accom.
Gorgeous traditional Balinese building, beautiful views and quiet but only steps from Hanoman st with great food options. This was my 2nd stay and I always enjoy it.

AustraliaThe only issue was my booking (prepaid on a major website) was initially lost and I arrived at midnight so I was a bit nervous they couldn't accommodate me, I was given a room thankfully but had to move the next day which was a little inconvenient.
Gorgeous traditional balinese guest house, quiet location just off the main road within easy walk to shops and restaurants. The views are stunning over the pool, rooftops and green fields. The place was run seamlessly with serviced rooms, very clean, sparkling pool, filtered water and flowers placed to decorate the stairs, statues, pool etc. It was definitely better than I expected and excellent value for money. The rooms are older than some but everything worked well, bed was very comfortable & was great catching the breeze on the 3rd floor. It was a bonus that it was at the end of the lane so you didn't hear any scooters or people walking by which you often do at other places.

New ZealandThere was no map in the room folder nor at reception. The rooms needed an electric kettle and cutlery. The open shower didn’t drain properly so we needed bathmats so we didn’t slip in the toilet area.
The beautiful big and comfortable bed. The balcony, view, pool and gardens were beautiful. There was a bath. Breakfast had good Balinese coffee, fruit and egg options like omelet or a banana pancake. The staff were friendly. They would help if you asked for assistance. There was no hot water and they sorted this out, also brought in extra bath mats and an electric kettle. We liked hearing the staff chat and the music from the next door school. It’s good to see the Hindu Balinese culture continue.

AustraliaUnfortunately they no longer provide breakfast even though there is a communal area for eating which has been used for this in the past. This really distracts from the experience as eating breakfast with others staying at the accommodation place is a great way to socialise and share stories. An included breakfast is a great part of staying in Bali and I probably wouldn't stay here again for this reason. Please reconsider this as many people feel the same as I do and enjoy the simple breakfast most places provide.
Great location close to the main centre and surprisingly a quite location considering it is just off a main street.
