Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ChinaIt would be nice if the garden could be tidied up and the bathroom facilities repaired. But for the price it is reasonable
The staff are very welcoming and nice. The hotel offers motorcycle rental and laundry services. The breakfast is delicious. There is a swimming pool and a small garden. It is very cost-effective.

United KingdomWorth noting taxis won’t drive all the way to the accommodation as the road is too narrow.
Pool is nice (but shaded) comfy bed, decent location, basic but tasty breakfast delivered to your room. Plenty of cafes, shops and restaurants around.

AustraliaThe only thing to complain about was the cleaning of rooms. The staff asked you, and then proceeded to not do it. just a small thing, but could improve for sure.
location location location. I have travelled to Ubud many times and this is the best location i have stayed at. It is a calm and lovely walk down to main drag (800mts) with hardly any traffic and 100mts from the guesthouse it is motorbike only winding path that also goes through to the next busy road. So many options for fantastic food. ( we at ate Green Taman and Amertha most nights). We were upstairs with a wonderful view of Mt Agung and over banana trees and palms. The rooms are big and beds are good, bathroom is good. Breakfast is basic but good. The pool is not large but refreshing and shaded, i used it everyday after our big days out of walking Ubud streets. I am coming back in October for a month i loved it so much!

Czech RepublicThere is kitchen you can partially use but it is really unclean and dont recommend for cooking food (although I suspect the staff prepares the breakfast there but the breakfast was delicious so I rather not asked questions). The entrance to the accommodation is not fully accessible by car, you have to walk for the last 100m but it is accessible by scooter. But it is okay to walk there with luggage.
Very nice homestay. Stayed long term for 3 weeks and I really enjoyed my stay. The staff is very nice and friendly. The breakfast is delicious and you have a lot of options. The pool is little bit small but okay for cooling down. The nicest thing about the accommodation is the garden with all the plants surrounding the house so you feel like in a forest. From the upper floor rooms you have a nice view and I think you can even see Mt. Agung from there (not sure if it wasn't another mountain).

GermanyWhen it rains heavily for a number of days, make sure to vent and dehumidify with AC or a smell might emerge in the bathroom and from the drain behind the building due to climate/humidity (also normal here).
Very friendly staff who greeted me late at night and served a really delicious omelette and fruit platter (other options available) to me each morning. I really enjoyed the quiet small family-run property off in a small side street yet within walking distance to downtown Ubud. Note: It is actually nice to arrive at night and avoid the traffic from Denpasar airport to Ubud. The taxi cannot drop directly in front but approx. 50 m walking distance as the road ends and a narrower path continues on. There is a very small pool that provides a refreshing dip after a day out in town or sightseeing. Cleaning is done on a „you request it basis“ (they ask you each morning, this approach is common in homestays).

Maybe its just a bit futher by walk what i was expecting.... However, their laundry is superb and fast.

United KingdomJust be mindful that taxis cannot access this hotel, you have to walk with luggage (only3/4 mins) but if you have lots of luggage this may be an issue. We booked the mount batur hike with the hotel and ended up in the biggest group and missed the sunrise due to the bus taking so long to pick everyone up from different hotels etc. I would advise maybe booking the tour privately and asking for a small group.
Owner flexible with helping me change the dates as I booked the wrong dates initially. Nice pool Breakfast by your room is a nice touch
