Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IndonesiaMost of the rooms only have a window to the outside corridor. there is nothing to block the light from it at night. If you don’t like it you’ll need to get up and turn it off yourself and hope nobody turns it back on. there are a few maintenance issues that they should really pay attention to in order to stop the place from deteriorating. Some of the guests it attracts can be a bit noisy / inconsiderate.
Location: Although the area around the hotel is nothing special, it is quite conveniently located and not too far from the city centre. walking distance to food outlets, markets, a supermarket - all of which are budget friendly - and a park. The bed was quite comfy staff are a nice enough bunch of fellas.

SpainEven though the price is low, I do not recommend this hotel at all. The room was extremely dirty, with filthy sheets and pillows, and overall very poor hygiene. The most unpleasant part was finding several cockroaches inside the room, which was truly disturbing. On top of that, there was no soap or toilet paper, which are basic essentials that every hotel should provide. A very disappointing experience — definitely not worth it, even at a cheap price.

AustraliaPlease don’t book this!!! When I arrived I was asked for a deposit which wasn’t stated on the booking, so I had to go to the ATM to take it out as they refused to not pay it. Also no English is spoken so everything has to be done via Google Translate. The doona cover was dirty and hadn’t been washed prior. I asked for a clean one and said I can change it myself, but the receptionist didn’t let me and try to change it with some other guy which they failed as they didn’t know how to change it, so I had to show them after they tried for a while - therefore not surprised it was not changed. The walls were covered of stains, some also looking like nose buggers/snot attached to it. The floors were filthy. The worst part - someone tried to break in to my room in the morning when I was still sleeping. I kept shouting and they didn’t stop until I shouted a few more times. Then I got knocked on the door around 11.30am to say to check out, although on Booking.com it said the check out is at 1pm.
