Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaThis place is great, especially for the price! At the moment, there is construction going on during the daytime at some distant neighbors place, so you hear that sometimes, but its not a big deal.
I really loved this place and extended for many more days! It is really cheap and breakfast is included (in the price you pay when you book at the hostel itself). If you don't have breakfast included through booking.com, you can add it for 15k when you arrive at the hostel. It depends what you are looking for - if you want to be somewhere central in Ubud while still in a quiet location, this place is great. But also, you should not have too high expectations when it comes to the facilities. Everything you need is here (you can even use the kitchen! And there is free water, tea, and coffee), but just don't expect anything fancy. The beds have curtains, which I really like. I am actually still staying here after more than two weeks now. The female dorm has one bed with a window, so you can close the curtain and have your own room basically :) I think in the 8-bed mixed dorm, you can also have such a bed with window, but I think that bed with the window in the female dorm is the best hahahaha because it has a view into the garden and rarely, there are people walking outside of this window. It is a small jungle outside! Also, my roommate is so nice. A few other people have been staying for single nights, but we two are kind of staying here for now. I think in a hostel, the roommates are the most important factor, and I have met some very sweet people here! The staff is cleaning the whole place every day, and you can get your sheets changed every couple of days if you stay for a longer time. There is a fridge and a freezer for everyone - it doesn't have much space though.

SwitzerlandOne morning there was no water, but that can happen in Indonesia. In the afternoon the water was flowing again.
It is very hidden but I loved that about the place. Calm oasis in busy Ubud. Walk through a narrow path off the main road and a 2min walk into the green.

New ZealandSimple home stay. Has all the basics. Facilities are fine considering the price per night. Don't expect too much, it's a old house that's been turned into a hostle but it's good if you just need a place to sleep and shower at night.

AustraliaEverything was great — super peaceful and I felt really happy. The place is at the end of an alley that looks a bit sketchy at first, but it’s actually very safe
I liked everything, especially the people. The staff is really kind and such good-hearted people.

PolandThe beds squeak and are close to the chill spot. If you have the misfortune of having guests who don't respect others, you can hear everything. But luckily they aren't always like that.
Wonderful place. If you want to be in the very center of Ubud but have peace and nature nearby, this is the place. Clean big bed, green common area, bathrooms with hot water, water, coffee tea all day. Friendly stuff.

GermanyShowers need a wee bit of TLC (hooks are showing signs of age, one of the shower head is leaking/not working properly).
Rooms are very nice. Beds are comfy. Lamp, socket, hooks, little locker, curtains. Space under the bed which is great to put your luggage. Super clean. Julie is a great host, always nice and helpful. Location is also great, right in the middle of Ubud but away from the street noise, we can't hear traffic from the hostel. Big lockers outside the dorms also available. Hot showers. Coffee, water, tea available. Nice common area outside on the deck.

IndonesiaI couldn't cook, the water was not hot, the lockers did not have a nice smell.
Excellent location. Despite being located in the center of the city, there is a large garden inside which makes it very natural and quiet. Clean, good customer service and excursion proposal.
