We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Kardia! The hotel is located in a quieter part of Gili Trawangan – peaceful and relaxing, yet still close enough to enjoy everything the island has to offer. With bikes you can reach anywhere easily (as you can on the whole island), but here we had the perfect mix of calm and activity. The hotel itself is truly beautiful. We especially recommend booking one of the villas in the back – they each have their own swimming pool directly accessible from the room. From the photos we originally thought the pool was shared with all the guests, but it’s actually private for those villas. The restaurant was excellent – very good quality, a wide variety of choices, and a really lovely place to sit and relax. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff deserves special mention – they were extremely kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. We felt completely at home and taken care of. We stayed for five nights with a group of ten friends, and it was simply a fantastic time. This is a hotel we would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Gili Trawangan – and we will certainly come back ourselves!

There was a mix up with my cooking class. It seems they should create a system where you sign up for the day and time of classes online.

The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The pool was lovely overlooking the ocean. The food was great and inexpensive. There were delicious cocktails and fun entertainment. The sunsets were beautiful. It was a great vacation spot for our family with a teenager.

I loved every minute at Kardia. Stayed 3 nights and should’ve stayed 5! The breakfast, cocktails, food was all great. The restaurant/pool area has a great vibe. On the quiet size of the island so a good nights sleep guaranteed. I thought the outdoor bathroom was interesting and has provided some inspiration for our own outdoor entertaining / pool area. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and very accommodating. The back shoulder neck massage is probably the best I’ve ever had. I’d recommend the sea view room. The pool access rooms look quite cool but definitely a quieter part of the resort.

Everything was amazing!

The staff was absolutely amazing, I had just come from a not so pleasant hotel and booked the kardia and their hospitality exceeded my expectations. I also arrived to the island a little late in the day barely missing the afternoon tea time and they had tea and a variety of snacks waiting for me in my room. i greatly appreciated that they ensured my safety and again hospitality was amazing!!

My hotel room 319 needed some TLC , I had to ask the maintenance man to come twice to both my patio and my front door, the locks were dodgy. Also the safe was playing up, it would work sometimes, which made me afraid of putting my valuables in it. I didn’t have hot water the whole time I was there. But the view was outstanding.

Service was a bit slow on the terrace

Spacious rooms with outdoor shower garden, Immaculate inside and around resort. Great terraced seating area on main road with sea view. Turn down service. A free surprise gift on your pillow makes you feel valued customers. Free 5 minutes massage on arrival to entice you to use the spa. Didn't really make use of the sunbeds and pool as we were out exploring, I would definitely recommend this resort

After a long journey, we were warmly welcomed by them with a welcome drink. Our room was amazing. We had a beautiful view over the sea and the pool. The staff was so kind and nothing was too much for them. They were always smiling and saying hi. We really got a staff treatment which we appreciated. So we would like to thank the staff for a nice stay and we will definitely come back again.

Location - obviously out of the hustle and bustle of the main street. 2.5km to get in amongst - definitely need a bike. If you want to be away from the main street, then location is great

We booked this hotel last minute and we are so happy we did. There isn’t a single negative thing about this place. It was definitely the highlight of our holiday. First we were very lucky upon arrival, we got a room upgrade to a room with private pool, which was so nice of the hotel. The room was in excellent condition, very clean, comfy beds, the outside shower is a big plus. The breakfast was included and it was delicious, the coffee was top notch barista made. The staff was super nice, always ready to help, we are very thanful to them, they made our stay even better. The pools are amazing, the pool next to the bar has a gorgeous seaview. The sunset are truly amazing from here. We absolutely loved this place!

DID NOT LIKE that people could smoke in the restaurant, we found this very uncomfortable being non-smokers. I understand Indonesia has no laws around smoking, however in a resort this should be re-considered. This made out meals not as enjoyable and we feel we should not have to be exposed to smokers when dinning. The room was excellent, just needs some drawers to put clothes away and it could do with more areas in the bathroom to hang items.

Breakfast was excellent and we loved the location. Kardia had the best position for sunsets and people watching

Minor niggle that although this hotel is just across the path to the beach, the beach is unusable due to being so rocky. This is in no way the hotels problem and they have made a “beach” with bean bag sun beds on the sea side.

This hotel is on the calm side of the island so evening noise is minimal. Just a 15 minute walk to the busy side. Property has sea views and some room rooms with a swim pool. We used the central pool with the swim up bar. Stuff could not do enough for us, food was good, especially breakfast during which we saw lots of turtles in the sea.

Shame the beach wasn’t attached to the property but there is a road right in front of the swimming pool. The swim up rooms though and the main pool were fantastic so it made up for no beach to lie on.

Everywhere was clean, with good facilities. Food was good and the staff were amazing. Pool was great, and the sunbeds were super comfortable. Swim up bar was great aswell as service to your sunbed if you ordered at the bar.

$15 to and from main strip of Gili T on horse cart. No area to really swim In the Ocean out front of the property. Low tide the beach is well away from the property.

We had a one bedroom villa with pool. Very relaxing. Clean and beautiful room. Lovely sunsets.

We had an amazing time here! The rooms were gorgeous and spotless, breakfast was delicious, and the pool/bar area was perfect for sunset views. But the real highlight was the staff - Malla and Moyo were absolute stars! Their kindness and attention to detail made our stay truly unforgettable. Thanks for an incredible experience!!
