Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandPhotos must have been taken when it was first built as it was a bit tired and needed some maintenance. Particularly the bathroom grout was quite dirty and the shower head loose Pool, although very beautiful, was too cold and didn't really see anyone using it the entire time which is a shame. Still a very nice place to stay though, the location, breakfast and staff more than made up for it :)
Location was fantastic. Off the extremely busy streets, on a smaller street with plenty of food/massage options (Pukako and Umami were our favourites). Staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were very good. Having the room right by the pool area was nice, great tropical feel. Generally a very nice place to stay.

AustraliaProperty is quiet tired. While clean it needs some repairs with decking around the pool showing water damage and sagging boards.

AustraliaWe were very pleasantly surprised with the choice of Juli House. We have stayed many times in the same locality and know it is off the main road but central to everything. TJuli House overlooks a rice field on Jl bisma which has many cafes and restaurants, and any services you require (massage, laundry, convenience stores). It's only steps away from from neighborhood laneways where you can find local warungs that serve up traditional Balinese food. The staff at Juli House could not have been more helpful. Being 'Jack of all trades' they ensured that they make you so welcome and kept the rooms and surrounds so tidy and clean. Breakfast is served downstair by the pool or up in your room. Some mornings it was a struggle to finish off the breakfast, more than what we are used to. Thank yoiu to all the staff for looking after us. We would definitelystay at Juli House again.

ItalyWe only had a few minor complaints. The first being that the big sliding window door, was poorly installed, which left a big gap at the top, allowing for quite some noise to seep through and for some bugs to entire, fortunately they had some heavy duty curtains to dim some of the sound and reduce the amount of bugs that could enter. The towels sadly looked quite used, despite being washed, they had multiple stains which left me quite unsatisfied. Finally, the shower had a very limited hot water supply, which meant my partner and I had to take quick showers to have hot water.
The staff were the kindest, most helping people. Whenever we needed anything, or had any questions, they were always there to help. They cleaned our rooms twice a day, and left us notes and fruit. The breakfast was standard but still good, the options were varied yet simple. The location of the hotel was perfect, just off the main road of Ubud and yet still quite calm. The pool was also extremely appreciated, considering the temperature of Bali. The room was very spacious, well organised, but they could have had more hangers.

Location was amazing and the staff working there were so friendly everything you could wish for. The room was very pretty and I loved the view over the rice fields it was so peaceful. The hotel itself is well looked after I loved all the flowers up the stairs.

United Arab EmiratesVery less choice for breakfast. Can be made better however there are a lot of options outside since we booked with Rooms including breakfast, we adjusted to the available options.
We booked 3 rooms, rooms in the first floor were best value for money but the room in ground floor was not up to the expectation. Bathroom door did not close properly. There was a door behind the room opening towards the backside, it couldn't be locked properly. Groundfloor room was not as clean and neat as first floor rooms. Nevertheless, the staff was very pleasing, kind and helpful.

United KingdomNo fridge in the room and no shared facilities. No TV in room - handy when you want to chill, especially when it’s raining. Breakfast was basic and you needed to choose what you wanted the day before - including the time you wanted to eat. On the last night we had a massive infestation of ants come in through various parts of the bathroom ceiling and creating a trail all round the bathroom. I blasted them all with bug spray but when I told staff the next morning they weren’t that bothered. I didn’t mind the few hundred ants tbh but I had bug spray and they weren’t hurting me some people might not like this. As mentioned only 2 beds around the pool so you need to grab them when you can if you want to chill by the pool.
The property was a on a quiet street a short walk from the centre of Ubud which meant we could walk into town and not have to take a scooter. The pool area was nice however only 2 sunbeds which were always occupied. Room was clean, aircon good, toiletries in the bathroom, good wifi, nice decor. Great view over the rice fields however we were on the ground floor so not as good as if we were on an upper level. Staff were very friendly and offered a nightly turn down service which was unexpected and a nice touch. Outside seating area for breakfast, or to have your own meal (from outside) was nice and overlooking the rice fields and there’s also an upper dining area.

ItalyEven if we were on the top floor, we had a lot of ants - inside the bed too! We also found two bigger bugs, not sure what they were, on two different days (in bed, again). The breakfast was not great (flavor and quality wise) and you have to order it the day before which could be a bit inconvenient. There are water dispensers on every floor, but we stopped using them after noticing that the water that came out had small black bits in it.
The hotel is located in a very strategic position, surrounded by cafes/restaurants and spas, and close to the center but out from the traffic jams. The room was nice and spacious, same for the bathroom. Everything seems new or recently renovated. Bed is comfortable, wifi works well and the view from the upper floor is really nice over ricefields and palm trees. The room is cleaned daily. There is also a small swimming pool which is always a plus!

AustraliaOnly 4 litres of hot water and takes an hour to refill and heat again. Shower head is huge so by the time you get the temperature right it’s mostly gone. Next to rice paddies so mozzies were an issue outside of the room. Bed was hard and thin mattress. Breakfast was so so.
Clean and good location in nice wide side street. Water provided and water filters on our floor.

United KingdomMy only recommendation if any (not a complaint) is there’s only 2 loungers at pool so if you want a lazy day and there’s already a couple/ a group/ a family there you can’t also go there cause there’s no where to sit or even really stand cause the balcony’s on the ground floor are there too. Not a complaint though, wasn’t a bother really for us, we just done other stuff but I would recommend Eve. 2 more loungers or chairs would be fab 😊
This place was so nice! Staff are soooooo nice and welcoming, really lovely, will go above and beyond. Lovely views from balcony, scooter rental right on doorstep, coffee cafataria 2 min walk and very very very good coffee, highly recommend if your staying here. The perfect location where your in the hustle and bustle but not right on the main strip of the hustle and bustle - super close to all the tourist spots, local markets and stalls all near by, plenty of coffee spots, bars and restaurants, there’s also Paddleboard nearby which was super fun

PhilippinesThere were minimal dirt (sand) inside the room/bathroom. It was nothing major could easily be cleaned. We weren’t so bothered since we were out the whole day.
The best thing about the property was its price and location. It’s one of the affordable yet very decent ones you can book online. And the best thing is it’s in the center of ubud so you could walk and cross out some of your “to visit” spots without having to travel far. It has a pool and really good free breakfast
