Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyWe had some issues with some rat poo in our room. We were very prepared to stay in a rice field, but this was really uncomfortable for us and there was no way the staff solved this issue. I want to confirm we had no food in our room. The mouse/rat clearly came from a hole in the bathroom wall (made so that the AC cable could pass). This hole needs to be closed. It cannot be acceptable for 4-star-hotel guests to find rat poo around their room (on our suitcases and also mobile phones) every day. We had a 7 night stay and this happened for 4 days. Also, for this reason, and because of being located in a rice field, we would have found a closed wardrobe very useful - instead there is only a wardrobe with no doors.
We really enjoyed our stay in Joglo. The location is absolutely perfect, as it’s really nearby the centre of Ubud but out of the noise and the crowd. Even though the road cannot be accessed by cars, you can walk it in about 20 mins, get the scooter from the hotel, or even Grab. The room was nice, as well as comfortable. We also liked food and the breakfast. The staff is super nice and always available, also for the early-morning trips.

United StatesWe had a villa which was amazing, and had a great view. It was very comfortable and secluded. The staff was very responsive via WhatsApp. One thing to note is that you cannot take a car to the hotel due to the width of the road. The hotel will drive each person up to the hotel from the main road using a motorbike, or you can walk. Riding on the back of the motorbikes was an enjoyable but unexpected experience.

EgyptInsects, frogs and geckos are spread throughout the place, both inside and outside the rooms. If someone has a phobia of that, then this place is not suitable for him.

AustraliaFamily run, owned by locals, divine - top quality rooms with the list stunning views!! Every detail was 5x star and I love that it was hidden away in the rice fields and the most fun trip via bike from the main center of ubud! Beautiful, relaxed, traditional Bali style cafe out the front and the team catered to alllll of our needs!! All we had to do was message them on what’s app and they always responded promptly whether it be a need for our room at night or to do our laundry for us! The peace and tranquility is rare now in Ubud and my husband and I are so honoured to have found this hidden piece of paradise! This will be a go to from now on every trip to Bali without a doubt! Favourite place!!

United StatesA bit far. The road to the hotel from the main road is only accessible to motor bike and walking. Takes around 10 minutes every time in and out in motor bike. This is taken care of by the hotel staffs but still a bit inconvenient. Also the main road connecting the trail is ALWAYS lots of traffic.
Big space, great breakfast, nice service. Nice view when walking on the trail to the hotel.

AustraliaThe two bedroom villa was not sealed, there was a large gap between the wall and ceiling in the bathroom which could allow animals and mosquitoes to enter (in saying that, we didn’t have any issues, just a couple of mosquitoes but we used mosquito nets around the beds at night). Security- the two bedroom villa was lockable at the front door, however the back door (backs onto rice paddies) was not lockable. It did seem generally a safe place but you never know. Safes provided are not bolted down so can easily be picked up and removed from the villas.
Amazing location, wonderful staff, a more authentic Balinese experience. Beautiful pool overlooking the gorgeous rice paddies. So much to explore around the villas including restaurants, cafes and little shops. Motorbike rides to and from the villas by the lovely staff was a highlight for us all.

GermanyThe hot water in the bathroom never run consistently hot. The restaurant was somewhat below the standard of the rest of the hotel, but there were other good restaurants nearby. It was somewhere overpriced for Bali at €160 a night.
We had a villa with a private pool. The accommodation and location were breathtaking the beautiful ideal for a honeymoon.

AustraliaThe only potential downside is that Joglo Organik is only accessible by motorbike or on foot. For guests with mobility issues this can make it difficult. It would be ideal if the guesthouses along the street spent more effort in improving the quality of the road, which felt at times unsafe. Also, it would be fabulous if Joglo Organik drivers offered motorbike helmets and drove a bit slower.
We loved the atmosphere and facilities at Joglo Organik guesthouse. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

BulgariaJoglo Organik Guesthouse is a lovely place to stay, away from the busy Ubud, in an amazing rice field. The nice walk from the hotel to the main street in Ubud is only 10-15 minutes by foot or a few minutes by scooter. The hotel offers a free scooter shuttle service, which is very useful, although we preferred to walk most of the time. Our stay there was perfect, and we are very happy we chose it. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the food is wonderful. I highly recommend it for people who want to stay in Ubud but in the same time away from the noise.

United KingdomThe property was great. We personally loved the track it was down with some cute Cafes and shops, but understand some people may not. Be aware there are bugs around at night so make use of the mosquito net!
Beautifully located property down a track in the rice fields and also very close to Ubud centre. The room itself was perfect with a beautiful bathroom and very comfy bed. We also made great use of the outdoor space. The staff were on hand to give us lifts to and from Ubud until 10pm and even arranged for a laundry service for us.
