The cafe at the end of the lane makes delicious food. And the balcony outside the room makes a great place to watch the world go by. Friendly staff. Great location.

Very good location, right in the center. You save money to go to the center. The price/performance cannot be beaten. There are some steep stairs and you may hear motorbike and I think bird or bat noises at night but if your goal is to use the hotel only to sleep then this is the best choice. The host is very friendly and he offers some great tours. I would definitely suggest!

Stayed here 6 years ago, and still love it. Only 2 units right on the top level, giving a lovely view of sunset. Hard to get a view like this around Sriwedari. Though the accommodation is basic, room has a great bathroom with a large unsealed space for window (wall to wall) where natural sunlight filters in and there is no damp and musty smell. No tea or coffee facilities or breakfast, but the hosts are happy to make breakfast at an extra cost. Will always consider coming back to this homestay as I feel a special draw to it. Not recommended for the elderly as the stairs to the top floor are narrow, little bit steep and winding (partially).

I loved everything about the property, but I wouldn’t stay here if you have trouble getting up stairs. There are very steep stairs to get to the rooms.

The room has a beautiful view of Ubud and sunsets. Breakfast was very good, vegetarian options available. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is partially outdoors. AC worked great.

The only complaint are ones that are out of the properties control however less mobile people and those that struggle with street noise when sleeping. The stairs are narrow but again this is not a control over the owners but if you’re a large person or not too mobile you may find them a little difficult. You can hear the street noise a lot. We can sleep through most noises so either bring earplugs or look for somewhere a bit further out of town.

It was clean and in a good location. Great for the price you pay. Nice breakfast too which is a sweetener. We only had it the one day out of our three night stay as we are just not brekkie people and didn’t want to waste food. Bed was comfy, not a rock like most places. Hot water in bathroom. Surprisingly no insects as the bathroom is open, it was great. The family were lovely and even sorted our laundry for us! Thank you for a lovely stay!

This is a comfortable room (with good AC and surprisingly good WiFi, too) on the top floor of a family compound, with only one other guest room, so it’s wonderful for travelers who’d like some peace and quiet. The moment you step outside your door, the view from the balcony will make you smile, and the sounds of prayer from the temple across the street or of ceremonial dances at the end of the block will often drift up to the room in the evenings, reminding you of what a special place you’ve found. The hosting family just radiates kindness (and makes great pancakes), and if you’re a morning riser, this is a perfect place to get up early, go for a walk in the rice fields while the city is still waking up, maybe grab a coffee at one of the cafes that opens early, like Jolted or Sunny Coffee, and then come back home for breakfast.

Great place in the price/quality ratio! Location in the center, close to all infrastructure: restaurants, stores, pharmacies. Delicious breakfasts, cleaning in the room, regular change of towels and linens. The main impression is the incredible kindness and care on the part of the owners, were always ready to help suggest trips, entertainment and meals. At the same time completely unobtrusive. You come as if in the house to old friends! By the way, the offer of airport transfer was more favorable than any cab, I recommend to agree! In general, this place is very right for budget travel!

None that I could think of.

The people from Japa were so warm and accommodating. We arrived there so late (around 3 in the morning) and they even accommodate and showed us our room. The breakfast was wonderful. My partner liked the Balinese cake so much. Thank you so much for helping us with the scoopy and the car parking (which we didnt check initially prior to booking) but they have helped and made our stay wonderful and homey. Location wise- it is at the center so you can walk to most of the warungs and souvenir markets.

Very homey stay, big room with a balcony with a view of the town and a temple. Wifi and hot water is very good. And breakfast every morning. There is a lot of cool diners on the street also. This is great and affordable stay in Ubud! Owners are really nice.

Only the enterance to the building down wasnt the best but that didnt bother us.

The location is really good very close to center, the place is clean and overlooks green area. Breakfast was good. Owners were really friendly. They even helped transport us to the next destination. Thank you!
