The Location, Views & Staff were amazing.

I don't have anything I don't like. But if I have to pick one thing: It would be nice to have an English version of the instruction manual in the room. But with the technology nowadays, it's easy to translate. The owners do speak fluently English :)

We traveled as a family with 3-adults and 1-child (10yrs). One of the adults is an eldery women (70+), who can walk, but very slowly. That being said, after a long 3/4 hour ride from Jogja, we received a warm welcome by both owners (Dewi and Rod), who (including the staff) were amazing during the whole stay. Nothing was too much to ask, and they often comfortably checked-in with us if we needed anything during the 4-nights we stayed. They made sure we received a modern new villa close to the main area and is all same leveled floor, ideal and very thoughtful. The beds, supplies, WiFi, smart-tv and bathroom where all well maintained and hygienic. From our villa, within 30 steps, we entered the open-air-with roof restaurant, were we had our wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinners while having them we enjoyed the scenery including the amazing ocean and big waves. We could just sit anywhere and enjoy the waves for hours. When exiting the resort on the beach-side, we crossed a small walking path and were right at the large beach and ocean. This is the definition of beachfront! It was absolutely not crowded whatsoever, even if you share the whole beach with some locals, fishermen and surfers from the area. If you are not an experience surfer or swimmer, it is not recommended to enter the water too deeply, as the waves (ombak) are very strong. Just be cautious and careful. Being in the shallow water at the right time is so fun and refreshing. We also made use of the resort pool, which was also modern, well maintained and clean. Beds are available pool side. The transportation to Jogja was done via their local driver, who brought us in a well maintained and modern vehicle safely to the airport. As it is said, I could not agree more: Hard to find, harder to leave! We make sure we visit again if we are in the area some day in the future. Thanks for having us!

Although the food was good and the ones preparing it showed they mastered what they did, we missed out on salad(s) and fish on the menu. Of course later on, the offer of fresh mackerel made up for it, and proved the potential is there. Some corners in the hotel were messy and since we were the only guests those days that could have been solved easily by the personnel present.

The customer service was outstanding. As we celebrated our anniversary, the hotel already gave us a free upgrade on our room, that's what we discovered at arrival. After they noticed that my wife sprained her ancle, they offered us another upgrade free of charge so that she didn't had to walk the stairs. Also they treated us on a anniversary cake and last but not least, they offered us to prepare fresh mackerel for diner although not on the menu.

The other reviews suggested that the food was amazing. I found that whilst the food was well prepared, the menu was very limited and, to be so close to the sea and have no fish or seafood was disappointing.

Perfect location, great staff and very comfortable room. Great place to kick back and relax for a few days.

From the moment we arrived Rod and Dewie were accomodating and helpful. Our room was fantastic, the location exceptional and the food and facilities were top notch. Rod lent me a board during our stay (thanks Jetstar) and furthermore had the footy on to see the mighty blues get a win. My daughter had a great time with some other children at the resort and is a great place to stay with a family. Thanks again to all the staff and owners Rod and Dewie, we will be recommending the resort to our friends and we will certainly be returning.

It is not what I did not like, it is more what I would do differently. When you do not discuss the detail, your meal is already on the table and when you are not exactly on time, it is lukewarm or cold. Why not cook/prepare when the guests are seated. Otherwise the food quality was good as well as the choice. Try the lobster!! One thing is important to know: outside the hotel there is zero entertainment.

This place is a hidden gem. If you really want quiet, no disturbance and having the feeling that you are close to maritime life, this is a wonderful place. Not to forget the very friendly staff and the very charming owner Dewi
