How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The staff were so lovely and helpful! It isn’t massively central to the main part of uluwatu but it has the necessities around. Super peaceful and relaxing if that’s what you’re looking for!

All was 👌
I had a wonderful stay here—such a friendly and welcoming place that instantly felt like home. The staff were amazing: always helpful, genuinely kind, and even remembered my name, which made the experience feel very personal. The room was smaller (sufficient for a solo traveller), clean and comfortable, with air-conditioning and a lovely balcony where I enjoyed a light breeze and views of the beautiful inner garden. Drinking water was always available, and there’s a small shared kitchen, though I didn’t use it since there are plenty of restaurants nearby. One of my favourite breakfasts was just around the corner. The location is tucked away from the main busy street, making it peaceful and quiet. Walking to my Iyengar yoga studio was an “interesting experience”—not exactly a relaxing stroll, as it meant navigating a rather chaotic main road—but I still did it a few times and discovered many restaurants, shops, small local market, and spas along the way. It’s about 20 minutes on foot or just 5 minutes by motorbike with Gojek. I stayed for 10 nights, giving myself enough time to explore the area alongside my daily yoga classes. All in all, it was a truly lovely stay. A clean, calm, and cozy place to come back to each day. Highly recommended!

No equipment! Missed attached in the bathroom to dry the towel. No soap or shampoo. Equipment with poor quality

The bathroom sink could smell but it was only in my room because my friend had not the same problem

Had an amazing stay! The location was perfect (Big Indomarket, Local Dinner spots and amazing Breakfast place 2mins away) Renting a scooter was so easy and quick! This place was quite, familiar and felt like home. Would highly recommend!!!

The property is nice & well kept. Staff are super friendly and always ready to help. The room cleaning/ towel changing is on request, so don’t be shy to ask. Location is convenient if you are looking to travel all around Uluwatu, maybe not so much if you wanna be somewhere near the beach.

The lodge is very central but in a quiet back road, yet everything you need is a around. The bed was so comfortable, Ac working silently and everything is new.

Although it's a quiet location there's nowhere to go for a walk. The room was nice but I might suggest getting darker/blackout curtains

This is what I wish I knew before booking - the smell of the toilet was really unbearable. I did everything I could to be out of the room as much as possible. There is a potent smell of sewage coming from the bathroom that fills the entire room and clouds the whole experience. There was mould on the bed frame. And I got sick after my stay. While the bed itself was really comfy I really did question the cleanliness of the room and how run down it was compared to the pictures. The couple who run the lodge are very sweet and welcoming however the room needs a huge upgrade, this is my feedback to them to help improve it. Aside from this it was a cheap place to stay and the rest of the facilities, terrace, and outside ambience were nice.
