Loved our stay at House of Sawah. The staff were very helpful, food was really nice (mix of Indonesian and western dishes) & the location in Batu Karas was ideal just back from the beach. The small hotel area was really nice place to chill out after a morning surf.

We loved our stay here, the staff are legends and the food is so good ! Such a good place to stay if your a surfer and met heaps of cool people too! Definitely the hot spot in BK and quick to the point and reef on a bike

If I would have to say something - I would say there is quiet some bugs after rain - but he that’s part of the magic when you sleep so near to nature

Super comfortable work space and very beuitifull view from the room. The staff loved Kopi (our dog) and kopi loved the staff and Sawag (their dog) - which was amazing!

The room is really tiny, desk and chair is not very comfortable and mostly ikea doco The laundry basket was basically dust and leaf collector Didn’t update towels the whole time we stay, only clean one time and maybe only clean the sink plus only take out the trash from toilet, the floor and bed (from dusty floor) was still dusty The room is very close to the common area/restaurant so basically could always hear someone’s talking when we are in the room during their opening hours

The staff were AMAZING, they are really the best, super friendly and helpful. A lot of options for breakfast, really good quality and tasty. Very soft bed, very quiet in the evening The view is very calm and enjoyable

The rooms are pretty small, so would probably only recommend for a short stay. The AC units could do with an upgrade.

The staff are sooo friendly and helpful (especially Yoga) and the food is delicious (especially the breakfast and tempe rendang).

The wifi in the room is a bit lacking sometimes.

The staff and food where amazing! You pay a little more but it’s definitly worth it. They helped us get a private guide to go to green caynon and vally 10/10.

I would have loved to have a more spacious room - perhaps the bathroom needn't be so big. The distance from parking lot to the hotel area is quite a walk away through the sawah, so would love for the staff to help us with the luggage.

The rooms are very well designed, the breakfast was really good on all days, but the most spectacular thing was the view from the rooms. The staff were also very helpful during our stay and provided some great recommendations on our surroundings.

Car parking lot is quite far, but other than that it was perfect.

One of the best hotel available in the area. They have 4 rooms that normally fully booked throughout weekend or holiday. The name of the accommodation served as a double pun because it is located in the middle of rice field (or sawah) and a homebase for Sawah, the owner's friendly dog. We love the restaurant too, they served the best lime cake. We would love to comeback again later...

The water pressure was sometimes low and you need to ask for the daily room cleaning otherwise it will not be provided. The room has an opening so it is not really insect proof and also it can be quite loud.

Great location and amazing staff! The complementary breakfast was really good. The staff are available to arrange anything you need like surf lessons and motorcycle rental. The beds are comfortable and room was clean. Air conditioning works well.

Room, food, and service are all exceptional , and the owner and staff are all willing to help with anything your searching for - in my opinion it’s the best accommodation in Batu Karas if your looking for an all round experience.

The rooms are a bit tight, would be nice to have a bit more space. Would be nice to have a mosquito net and fan so you have an option to keep window open and not use aircon.

The location looking over the rice fields, stunning. The restaurant is fantastic, amazing food, good vibes, music, great friendly staff! The breakfast included with the room was exceptional. The bathroom outdoor shower was bliss.

It would be great if the hotel has a rinsing area outside the room so we can rinse off the sands from out body before entering the room. Other than that, it's all perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay at HoS. The location is PERFECT, one step from the rice paddy fields and a short walk to the beach. The breakfast was great. I personally love the bread. Will definitely come back here in the future!

Probably the most beautiful rooms in Batukaras. Great location overlooking the rice fields and close to the beach. The restaurant right next to the rooms offers great food. You can also rent a motorbike from them. Very friendly and helpful staff!
