Having to leave! And, the traffic. Getting anywhere by car takes time, adjust your expectations to Bali traffic - school finishes at 12 noon and from there on, the traffic is congested. But get to the town centre early enough to avoid it, and just walk everywhere! We traveled from Canggu, and it took over 3 hrs- which could have been avoided if we knew to travel earlier.

The staff are so welcoming and accommodating. Even asking if we had any dietary restrictions, which we did. Was a thoughtful touch. Location is close enough to the town centre that you can still get there easily, but far enough out to have quiet and relax. The spa is wonderful, and the pool is perfect for floating about and relaxing poolside.

Very nice and beautiful resort - an oasis, in the buzzling and overcrowded town of Ubud, 10 minutes by free shuttle bus (runs 3 times a day) to Ubud Palace. Beautiful rooms and very nice pool. Nice restaurant and bar (with Happy Hour 2+1), great breakfast selection, delicious coffee. Extremly friendly and helpful staff, especially Uli at Restaurant and Payno at reception.

The only area for improvement might be to have better coffee in the room (instead of nescafe). That's literally the only thing.

Beautiful resort, well appointed rooms, luxurious bed and bath. I honestly couldn't think of one negative thing to say about this place. Great Asian fusion at the restaurant and western style breakfast which is included in the room rate. The spa was divine and great value too. Hotel did everything from.arrange a scooter rental to drop me at the airport. They also had nice and affordable wines in the minibar which I appreciated since these seem hard to come by in Indonesia. Didn't take advantage of the pool or on-site yoga but saw others do so and seem to enjoy themselves.

Traffic into Ubud is quite bad early evening.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food menu was great and we really enjoyed breakfast, drinks were well priced. We also went to the spa onsite which had a nice range of massages.

They changed the menu from last year and removed the tacos - which was hands down my favorite tacos in the world

Honestly nothing, everything was great.

Everything was lovely, the staff were very sweet and accommodating. The room was beautiful and had a nice view of the pool. The rooms also had adapters on each side of the bed which was very thoughtful and the staff would lay out our pjs on our sides of the bed when returned at night. It was also very clean and the breakfast was great, I’d definitely stay here again!

We had an absolutely relaxing time at Honai! The staff were professional, helpful and the little simple yet thoughtful details of the resort and staff service made it all great! From a wide variety of breakfast menu selection to providing wake up calls for our early morning hikes and breakfast takeaway on the final day of our flight, it really felt like home. Resort was nice and peaceful with the bonus of a bath tub for a nice relaxing bath soak. There was also option of yoga and salsa dance classes although it didn’t meet our schedules.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They often had events on in the evening such as live music and a beginners salsa class followed by salsa dancing later on into the evening.The small details were great and well considered. Multi-way adapter plugs already plugged into the walls. A small parting gift that felt very thoughtful. The location is not in ubud centre but there are several shuttles which head in and out during the day which is good. Ubud traffic can be very busy so take that into account if you make dinner reservations elsewhere, like we did one night. They also organise tours from the hotel, which i wish we had realised in advance as we had already booked one on viator that was a quite a bit more expensive. Puma at reception was lovely and also Ika at the restaurant. The rooms were a decent size, with a nice balcony overlooking the pool. Loved the gorgeous bath too!

We stayed in the Tropical Deluxe Room, located on the first floor with a beautiful view of the pool and a spacious balcony. Perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The room was cozy and well-appointed, offering the comfort you’d expect while still staying connected to nature. The entire property is nestled in a lush, jungle-like setting, which was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. It created a serene and peaceful ambiance, ideal for a rejuvenating break. One of the highlights was the open space available for morning yoga or meditation The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help, which added to the overall charm of our stay. The only minor downside was the breakfast. While everything served was delicious and well-prepared, the variety is limited and tends to get repetitive if you’re staying for more than a few days. Pro Tips: 1) Book your spa session in advance! We made the mistake of walking in and it was fully booked. 2) There’s a Batik class nearby, just a short walk from the back of the hotel - a unique local experience worth trying. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a peaceful, nature inspired retreat with excellent hospitality.

I found the AC remote difficult to understand what all the symbols meant, which made it difficult to operate. I wish they had more vegetarian options.

I liked the staff were very friendly and willing to help. The room was amazing, it had complimentary fruits, hats and robes. It also has a bathtub, which was a pleasant surprise. The wifi was great, the room service and spa were amazing.
