Located right on the main road, it’s incredibly easy to find, making it a convenient choice for travelers. The hotel itself is impeccably clean and well-maintained, which immediately put me at ease. Given the mountain climate, I found the humidity to be reasonable and perfectly manageable. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a clean bed and fresh linens. I appreciated the attention to detail, including the clean towels and blankets provided. The bathroom was spotless, complete with bath soap, which is always a nice touch. Breakfast was simply delicious and authentically local! The variety was impressive, and everything I tried was mouthwatering. If you have any food allergies, I recommend informing the owner; they genuinely care about accommodating your needs. One of the highlights of my stay was the owner, who was incredibly nice and genuinely cared about our comfort. It really made a difference!

The family was really helpful and very friendly, they took us really late for to the clinic for the medical check up, we didn't know that was required to climb up Ijen. They rented us the mask and gave free of charge a pair off walking sticks. The breakfast was really good. I would stay there again.

When burning leafs outside like in all Indonesia the smoke/smell went into the room.

We booked this homestay because it would save us a half-hour drive to Ijen. The given room is a part of the family Host's house, and I can tell he paid attention to the cleanliness and made the best effort to keep it homey for us. The Host is very warm and friendly, though he speaks little English. The bathroom is basic but very clean and organized. That is all we need. He even gave us a massive local breakfast before we left.

I am not sure I would leave the praying from Mosque here as it is part of the local religion. But, it is very hard to have good sleep if you re not used to it.
