A little gem of a hotel. Basic but clean, comfortable, hot water, with a great little restaurant. Our room had a balcony with a great view of the surrounding hills. It is about 4 km from the edge of the crater but the hotel arranged a jeep for the next morning to take us to King Kong hill and Bromo - for only AUD$55. We thought this hotel was a real 'find.' Loved it.

Simple, but clean and comfortable room, with good beds. Hot water in the shower. A sink in the room, which is very pleasant with more people. Clean and warm sheets. The food in the restaurant is very good, also the prices. Only a 20 minute drive from the Bromo sightseeing point. A room with a view.

It can be a little noisy because there is a call to prayer from the nearby mosque. It went on longer than expected so it did keep us up in the early morning.

I found the guesthouse to be good value for the money we paid. The room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant on site was affordable and had great food. Staff were helpful in arranging a driver to take us to Bromo as well as a drive back to Probolinggo to catch our train. Please know that this place is not right in town so you will need transportation to get to Bromo.

We only stayed for a few hours, because at 2am we already went for the Bromo sunrise tour. The rooms are very basic, but they have all you need. Location is perfect for visiting the Bromo, just a few minutes by Jeep from the Bromo entrance (ticket point). The highlight of this place was, unexpectedly, the breakfast! After the Bromo tour, they prepared us awesome fried bananas and pancakes (not included in the room price)

Our biggest problem was the location, since there is a mosque about 30 meters from the hotel, and the call for prayer is extremely loud. We have been travelling Indonesia for 2 months and never heard a call to prayer so loud. Also, since everyone is going on tours to Mt. Bromo, there are always motorcycles and cars leaving around 3-4 am, which wakes you up. Unless you are a really heavy sleeper, you will have trouble resting. Also, the room is really cold and the shower was icy cold (except for one time when it warmed up). It gets really cold in the area, so this was a big problem for us.

The room was basic but very clean, with a little balcony. There is a restaurant on site and you can rent a scooter which is convenient. The staff was nice and attentive.

When we arrived we were told we couldn't eat in the restaurant but that staff would bring us the menu and we could eat in our room. No one ever brought the menu so we are elsewhere. The reception felt a bit unfriendly.

I had a very welcoming and helpful arrival by the friendly staff. They arranged a scooter for me and gave perfect advise about going to the viewpoint and Bromo. Only a 7 minute drive. And the inhouse restaurant is good.

Sink drains onto bathroom floor which was a bit weird. Not really the hotel’s fault, but it gets very loud between 2-3am when everyone gets their jeeps to Bromo. Some of the guests are not considerate and this morning there were boys literally shouting outside at that hour. I don’t know if they were guests or associated with the hotel but it was incredibly rude, so just be aware that you will be woken up during that 2-3am hour because people seem to forget it’s 2am as soon as they close their own door and go outside. And when you wake up for your own jeep please be considerate of others sleeping… I’d recommend that the hotel emphasize more to people that they should try to be quiet at that hour - it shouldn’t need to be said but evidently it does…

It’s very simple but gets the job done. Staff is helpful and it’s well-positioned for Mount Bromo. The staff recommended that I go to the sunrise via motorbike and I think that was a great suggestion - it was cheaper than a jeep by half and really fun, plus you can weave around the jeep traffic so the driving is quicker. Balcony is nice. And I liked how there was a restaurant on site. I stayed for 2 nights and was satisfied overall.

Not the hotel’s fault, but the mosque nearby is really really loud night and day, and it did affect our sleep even with earplugs.

The rooms were very nice with a good balcony with a hill view. Good value for money, with very friendly staff. They helped organise transport for us to get to Bromo in the middle of the night.

It has a little scope to buy lunch and dinner but its time is so short. Need to open more time for guests.

I like the terrace and facilities, really it was superb. The stuff was so cooperative and they are ready to support guest at any time and any way. This is really an wonderful place to stay with a affordable price. Best of luck for this hostel.

While my stay has been largely enjoyable, especially with the stunning view from the balcony, there are a couple of areas where improvements could enhance the overall experience. First, I noticed that the cleanliness of the bedsheets could be improved. As someone sensitive to dust, I experienced mild flu-like symptoms during the night, which I suspect may be due to dust or allergens on the bedding. Regular and more thorough cleaning or dusting could help ensure a more comfortable rest. Additionally, the size of the towels provided was a bit smaller than expected, making them less practical for comfortable use. A larger towel size would be more convenient. Another issue I encountered was with the water heater, where I had to wait for about a minute for the hot water to start, and then it would stop, requiring me to repeat the process several times during each shower. Having a more consistent and reliable water heater would greatly improve the showering experience. These small adjustments could make a big difference in ensuring future guests have an even more pleasant and comfortable stay. Despite these minor issues, the overall atmosphere and location have been wonderful!

Another key aspect that enhanced my stay was the cleanliness of the facilities, particularly the bathroom. The level of hygiene was impeccable, with everything spotless and well-maintained. It’s always a relief to find such attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness, as it adds to the comfort and overall experience. For me, a clean and well-kept bathroom is essential, and this one exceeded expectations, making my stay all the more enjoyable.

Room is quite sad... The bathroom is .. well.. it's really basic... The the sink in the bedroom drains onto the bathroom floor (as a design not a failure). It's not terrible as in "mold" or "not healthy", just.. a bit sad... Ok for one night but really need a bit of love.
