We booked this place very last minute with minimal research. Were we pleasantly surprised! Such a well designed and planned out property, just outside the hustle and bustle of Uluwatu but minutes away from all the spots. The restaurant was great with panoramic ocean views and they even had a recovery area with a hot tub/ cold plunge and one of the coolest saunas I've seen (had the same panoramic views). Our favorite part was the morning meditation sessions which really started our day off on a good foot. Would definitely stay here and at any other Grun properties in the future.

The treadmill in the gym wasn’t working properly, when running on it, it was not smooth. I recommend maintenance or replacement.

The property is so beautiful, in the middle of the jungle, with an incredible look at the ocean. It has everything from an amazing pool , sauna, hydrotherapy, spa and even a fire pit that is used every night under the stars. I extended my stay, the staff made me feel at home.

While our stay was truly memorable, there are a couple of small things that could be improved. The drinking water provided in the rooms is also used for brushing teeth, and it is restocked daily during cleaning, which we appreciated. However, the quantity felt a bit tight so it would be great if there is an extra bottle or two by default. Also, the resort shares a lot of important information via a WhatsApp link, which then redirects to multiple PDF documents. While it is certainly better to have access to information than not, the system can feel overwhelming and slightly inconvenient. A centralized and well organized website or app where guests can browse everything at their own pace would be much more user-friendly and make the experience smoother.

Grün Resort Uluwatu completely amazed us, not only with its design and location but with its entire concept that emphasizes nature, sustainability, and peace. Located in the middle of a tropical forest, the resort offers a true sense of escape from the busy world, yet it is only a five-minute scooter ride from all the main attractions in Uluwatu. We stayed in a beautifully designed treehouse that had absolutely everything we needed. It was comfortable, private, and full of thoughtful details that align with the resort's sustainable philosophy. The staff was incredibly kind, warm, and attentive, always available when needed. You can genuinely feel they care about creating an unforgettable guest experience. The resort also offers a variety of additional activities, including morning yoga, pilates, massages and much more. Unfortunately, we only stayed for three nights, so we did not get to try everything, which just gives us another reason to come back. We are definitely planning to return and stay longer next time. Grün Resort is a perfect example of how tourism can be both luxurious and responsible toward nature.

Breakfast was mostly good. Occasionally, some things would be sold out in the morning like the vegan options, porrige and granola. One morning we ordered the farm eggs, and it came with broccoli, which we found a bit odd and the eggs were overcooked. I was also disappointed by the 'shuttle service' they offer into town as 2 of the 6 days we were there, it was unavailable for use due to maintenance, and the remaining times we had tried to get the shuttle, it had already been taken down moments before - the service was first come first serve rather than having certain times it was going to do a run. Lastly, our room did not have any cutlery or plates. It did have tea and coffee but no milk. And they give you 4x 500ml glass bottles filled with filtered water daily when they clean, however, between 2 people we were going through these very quickly. You can definitely ask for more to be brought up so Im just being nit picky but having some sort of filtered water source available in the villa would have been a really nice addition.

I loved our stay at Grun. As the resort was smaller, you never felt like it was too cramped and could quite easily get a great spot by the pool. We stayed in one of the treehouse villas, which was inviting with beautiful decor. The resort is only a short 6min bike to some of the main restaurants and cafes. The views from the restaurant and pool were amazing and the overall atmosphere of the resort was so relaxing. I loved the amenities of the sauna, cold plunge, pilates studio and gym. The staff were also so kind and accommodating. I would definitely come back here in the future.

The food was great, but the portions were strange. Sometimes, you will get a huge portion and sometimes really tiny. But different options and the food was delicious.

Amazing resort, with such an amazing three houses. Great facilities, amazing pilates class, and balinese massage as well. The staff was truly helpful during our stay and really kind! Restaurant was good, mostly Western kind of food with Asian twist. It was delicious! During the night, the whole area looked amazing. We loved staying here! Highly recommend.

Special thanks: We had some last minute trouble at 6am at the departure date where no taxi was picking our order to drive to the airport and the hotel personnel organized a private driver for us at such short notice and so early in the morning!! One area with room for improvement is the spa. While the treatments were fine, it lacked the soothing wellness atmosphere we’ve come to expect from Balinese spas – such as calming scents, a relaxing ambiance, a welcome refreshment, and a tea after the treatment. With a few thoughtful touches, it could become just as memorable as the rest of the resort.

We discovered the restaurant La Cima only after we already checked out. For some reason the stuff didn’t show it to us, and this place was actually the gem of the whole resort. So make sure you ask where it is and go to enjoy it.

We had an amazing time at the resort. Stayed in a Treehouse villa, it was quiet, very clean, comfortable. Beautiful view overlooking the jungle and the ocean.

We stayed in a treehouse; it was thoughtfully designed, super comfortable and well spaced out from the other units. The staff were super helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend staying here. Only downside was the restaurant which was pretty good but not quite worth the premium price.
