Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandEverything was great, a brighter light in the main room would be helpful but that's really all.
Arriving at the accommodation was like a little piece of heaven. Lovely area, the room was spacious with a his bathroom. Breakfast was included and was super yummy with fresh fruit, coffee, and your choice of eggs, pancakes etc. Simple meals are also on offer at very good prices with the option of a full, many course, traditional meal eaten with the family. The room was clean, with a super comfy bed. Bathroom was also fine with plenty of hot water. The owners are really friendly and help with anything you need, they sorted out our washing and arranged transport for us when we needed it. The village nearby has many options for meals and the surrounding area of rice paddies, waterfalls and forest with black monkeys is amazing. Green Haven will book tours to these areas plus more. Great stay. We were there 3 nights and it was wonderful.

NorwayThe traffic outside, but thats how it is everywhere and nothing they can do about it. Walking around with kids in the street outside the homestay was very scary and nerve-wrecking. But the traffic didn't bother us in the house or anything.
We really enjoyed three nights at this homestay. The hosts are so nice and friendly. We did the two tours offered and it was a great way to learn more about the local food and culture. Our two boys (5 and 7 years) really enjoyed the tours too. The host helped with us when they were tired and they are very flexible and understanding. I would recommend to stop by the natural pool and take a swim - not included in the tour but its so refreshing and worth a stop. The food is great! The kids loved the pancakes. There are some restaurants 10-15 min walk from the homestay where they serve beer and western food (after 3 weeks in Indonesia we started craving western comfort food). :)

SwitzerlandBest local touch ever! Great accommodation with comfortable beds and a lush green garden. Loved it! The family is amazing and they make sure you have a great stay! I highly recommend you to also participate for the local dinner with the family, it‘s delicious and a great way go learn a lot about Indonesia. Also the day walking-tour is amazing - started at the Homestay and walked through beautiful ricefields and learn a lot about them, than a stop at the waterfall where you also where able to refresh and an amazing lunch & coffe after that. Later we went to the black-monkey forest and where able to see about 10 of them - they still completely have their own natural space. To finish we had a coconut workshop where you where able to see and also help how they make local coconut crumble and coconut oil. Overall highly recommend. Great stay, great family🫶

SpainWe had a wonderful stay at Green Haven Homestay in Lombok and truly hope more people get to experience this peaceful and welcoming place. From the moment we arrived, the whole team treated us with genuine kindness and respect — always giving us space to relax, but ready to help with anything we needed. They helped us rent a scooter, gave us amazing local recommendations, and even organized a special traditional Lombok dinner one evening that we’ll never forget. We enjoyed delicious dishes like homemade banana flower curry, tempeh, chicken in sauce, and other flavorful vegetarian and local specialties. Green Haven Homestay is the perfect place if you’re looking for an authentic and comfortable local experience in Lombok. Quiet, friendly, and full of heart — we’re so happy to support this lovely family-run spot. Highly recommended!

This is the perfect place if you want to explore the daily life in a village of Lombok. The family is very warm and welcoming so you can feel at home! The walking tour I did with Chung was amazing; ricefields, waterfall, monkey forest and a nice stop in local warung! I also did the tour to visit local handcrafts like pottery, weaving and working with bamboo, which also was interesting to see! In the evening the family made a really delicious dinner which I eat together with the brothers! Such nice memories of this place!

This was our favourite place to stay on our trip to Indonesia. I wish we could have stayed longer and can't say enough good things about the experience of staying here. We had a newly renovated bungalow with an upstairs and downstairs. The beds were comfortable. The best thing was the bathroom. The shower was amazing, I'd like to get the same one for my house. The pressure and hot water were great. We had a local dinner with the family one night and it was so much fun. We all ended up dancing the macarena and lots of other dances. The family made us feel at home and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We did a rice field trip, bamboo making trip and waterfall trip with them. They were all fantastic. Our favourite was the rice field trip. My daughters still say it was their favourite experience. We walked into the village in the evenings and everyone was so friendly. We felt like we made friends in our short time here. It was my birthday while we were there and they got me a birthday cake. It was a total surprise and so thoughtful. They have fruit trees so we were given fresh fruit right off the tree. I love passion fruit and they gave me lots of passion fruit off the tree. We also tried a fruit we'd never heard of before called snake fruit, delicious! I could go on and on and am sure I'm missing something but I highly recommend staying here. You won't regret it and you won't want to leave.

AustriaNothing, really. Only remark would be that the eating are is close to the road, so can be noisier, but that‘s part of the Charm Indonesia. No issue whatsoever in the bungalows…
We had 2 fantastic Nights in Green Haven Homestay - Beautiful garden and good location. During the evening the hosts prepare an authentic dinner and you share it with all sitting on the floor, also the host family. The Dinner was excellent, we really enyojed it. Not being great singers, we still very much enjoyed the common Musik after dinner - lots of fun! Be prepared to share your favourite songs! We also did the walking tour the next morning, which was a hightight of our 3 weeks Bali/Lombok tour. We walked from 10 to 17:30, learned a lot about rice plantations, local spices and fruits, swam in the waterfall and at the end could roast our own coffee in Aman's place. Overall a fantastic, authentic stay! Thanks again, Aman & family!
