Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaLocation is challenging if you don’t have a scooter. You can gojek with a scooter ride into Ubud city centre for AUD$1.50, so it’s cheap.
The care, service and attention given by the staff, Gusti and Anum. Just the best, they go out of their way to help in Ubud with laundry, transport and scooters. Are at Warung Hana (about 7 minutes walk away, 1 minute on scooter) multiple times during our stay - great food and mixture of Japanese and western food. There’s a pool there with a view to rice paddy fields for free.

Czech RepublicThe two-hand massage was discoordinated, rushed and rough. Didn't feel good, moreover, they put something on my inner elbow (because I had a mosquito bite) that left a chemical burn that is still healing. (took more than a month). I don't think it's part of their team directly, the massage ladies came from the outside, so I am not putting it in the rating, but word of warning for people getting massage.
The owners and staff are very attentive, kind, helpful and accommodating. Very light and easy vibe Super convenient location

Czech RepublicBit noisy from the main road but thats expected
Absolutely Amazing Family-Run Guest House I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful guest house with only 7 rooms, which gives it a cozy and personal feel. I was lucky to have the best room, overlooking the pool and lush greenery, with beautiful views of the trees. It was the quietest spot, perfect for relaxing. Although it's located on the main road and can be a bit noisy, the family thoughtfully provides earplugs, and they’re even planning noise reduction improvements. What I can’t emphasize enough is the incredible comfort of the bed and pillows—the best I’ve experienced in Bali! The family’s support was beyond exceptional. I got sick during my stay, and they went out of their way to buy medicine for me and checked in regularly to make sure I was okay. As a solo traveler, this kind of care is priceless, and I truly value it. They even took me for a walk in the nearby rice fields—just a 1-minute walk from the guest house. If you enjoy peaceful walks and quiet time in nature, this is an absolute must. From my experience, this place is simply amazing, and I wholeheartedly recommend it! 🌿✨

United KingdomThe doors/windows weren’t sealed properly, meant there were a lot of bugs/lizards in the rooms but expected in Bali and could hear the music from outside at night.
Room was nice and clean, location was good. Also had a pool which we didn’t use but looked nice. Nice staff also did our laundry for a good price.

GermanyPool too hot, dangerous road and the steep ramp makes it adventurous for scooter beginners. Also there is no propper sidewalk, so if you are no scooter pro, just book a grab bike even for the shortest ways.

United KingdomNothing about the property, unlucky i had problem in the night with people making noice at late, i had to sleep with earplugs. Introduce sone rules would be better. There are people that travel all day long like me and want to rest at night. If you wish a good night sleep, i would choose sayan area instead again and again.
Amazing staff, i felt really welcomed soon i stepped in, people always smiling, ready to help guests. Really clean room, amazing mattress (maybe one of the best i found in entire asia at this price) Location is good if you want to visit the north temples, outside of the ubud crowd.

NetherlandsIf there was anything then it is the busy road that the guest house is situated on. It does quieten during the night and we were not troubled by any noise but I would not recommend walking - scooter or bicycle a much safer!
The property is fresh and new. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom. The mattress and pillows are truly divine. The breakfast, served on our patio was what we ordered and delivered on time. It is a family concern and the owners are such delightfully warm people.

MalaysiaThe tap in the bathroom needs to be fixed and water drainage.
When my husband and I stayed in Ubud for our minimoon to Bali, we initially had no expectations about the place. Our plan was to stay there for a few days and then move to another part of Bali closer to the sites we were interested in. Upon arrival on the first day, we were greeted and welcomed by the hosts. We felt as though we had known them for a long time. Given that we hadn’t planned the entire trip and hadn’t even arranged transportation, we spoke to the host. She immediately, within seconds, offered us her bike to grab dinner and quickly contacted the bike rental guy, who arrived just a few minutes later. Every morning, we were treated to 5-star quality breakfasts, either served by the pool or brought to our room if we were too tired. Once, even though we were late, they still knocked on our door, asked if we wanted breakfast, and brought it up to our room. The host offered to pay for our bike rental deposit since we didn’t have change on the first day and only collected the entire accommodation fee from us on the last day. That’s how much they trusted us. The host checked on us daily to ensure we had everything we needed and provided us with plenty of travel tips for Bali, which were incredibly helpful to us since we were unprepared. To sum it up, our entire stay was so enjoyable that we decided to stay there for the whole trip and skipped looking for other accommodations. We preferred to travel around far and wide rather than leaving this homey hotel. The hotel was cleaned daily, with sheets and toilets always squeaky clean. The view from our room was simply perfect, overlooking the private pool and paddy fields. Waking up to this view every day was a dream, and I still wish I were there now. Highly recommended!
