Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe place is far from the center and the street to get there is very busy. The facility were poorly maintained, the area around the pool was not maintained at all. The room wasn’t very clean, there were dead bugs on the net of bed and the air conditioning motor was right a side of the bed so impossible to keep it on while sleeping. A lot of rooster around.

United Arab EmiratesUnfortunately during our stay, there was an issue with the water (no hot water and kept cutting off while we took shower) which we are sure they are fixing this issue for future guests.
Even though it is far away from the main attractions in Ubud, but we loved the calmness of the surrounding and the room is spacious. There is a common area where we can enjoy the greenery.

NetherlandsThe outside part of our AC unit was behind a thin wooden door (basically in a closet) of our room. Therefore it was really noisy to listen to all night.
The hotel is a bit out of Ubud and has beautiful views into the valley. Beds were comfy and the staff was super friendly.

AustraliaThe hotel doesn’t have restaurant and there are no restaurants around the area. If you want to eat, you need to call a taxi. There was a problem with the lighting for about 3 nights, where the was no light in the hotel, there was no water in our first morning there. Seems like the problems were fixed for the rest of the nights as we were there for 5 nights and the last 2, there was zero problem.
The staff was very nice and very helpful. They were lovely.

GermanyYou need a scooter to explore ubud! But if you ask the staff they'll get one for you :)
The staff was incredible friendly! Whenever i asked for help they immediately took care of it! The room had everything we needed. Coffee and tea included. The outdoor area was comfortable and exotic because of the jungle next to it.

AustraliaThe rooms majorly need better cleaning - lots of dust/hair/bugs etc especially under the bed, the netting around the bed had stains on it, towels also had stains, spotted some animals sitting in the beams in the roof, TV didn’t have any signal (can only use apps on it), air con was leaking and dripping on to the floor, pool was smaller than expected, not many restaurants around the hotel and it’s a half an hour walk into the centre so you’re a bit out of the way and the Gojek/grab apps don’t always deliver there
Friendly staff, beds really comfy and my one had a mosquito net around it which was helpful/needed, I was able to book a floating breakfast (for one person) however it was raining in the morning so I cancelled - they still wanted me to pay for it but I refused

AustraliaMinor things are not upto the mark. Toothbrush and paste is missing on the day of arrival. No everyday room cleaning unless requested. Detergent stains even after room cleaning is done. Staff could not speak English but we overcame this via translator. Some information was lost because of this. No shower gel inside the shower gel bottle placed in the bathroom. Over all a good place to stay if more attention to detail is given.
Great location and the forest view is amazing. Pool is good to chill at during sunset.

United KingdomWhere it is situated has a lot of wildlife. lots of mosquitoes and lizards. Throughout the night there was a weird noise in the roof like knocking and then a huge hornet looking thing appeared that I had to catch (I set it free) so there might have been a nest in my roof.
it’s a very pleasant establishment. Nice big bed. Netflix on tv. breakfast is nice.

New ZealandLocation isn't good for getting to anything, you need to Grab everywhere. Room was okay, comfy bed with good mozzie net but we had a large lizard in the bathroom that had pooed everywhere on arrival and it didn't get cleaned. That room leaked a lot in the rain so we switched to the downstairs - much nicer.
Beautiful valley across from the rooms.

ItalyThe sore points: the villa needs massive renovations, the pool area is almost abandoned, a piece of false ceiling collapsed while we were there. Many rooms have humidity problems, after some heavy rains we had water on the floor of two rooms, in another during the shower parts of the covering came off. The service is poor, we preferred to cook our breakfast. This meant going into the kitchen, a nightmare. Everything was very dirty and only after repeated requests was a partial cleaning given, absolutely inadequate but at least it was done. For each room for two people they were given only one towel each which therefore had to be used for the shower, body and face. Never seen anything like it. The house being close to the jungle is populated by insects and this is understandable, however the staff does not clean the excrement of the large geckos that live in the common room.

NetherlandsFor a 4 star hotel it was a bit disappointing - One day I had no warm water in the shower - The smell in the bathroom was awful (very chemical smell) - At night there was a really annoying noise it sounded like there were rats or mouses in the ceiling so that didn’t feel very save (animal noises but don’t know which animal exactly because I didn’t see)
The room was spacious and the airconditioning was good. The room was clean!

FranceI would add some light in the pool. I would try to serve a hot breakfast. I would have a list of suggestions of where to eat in the area.
Location is nice and removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. I thought the villa was nice and classy, with good ambiance traditional music and furniture.
