Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaGraha Ayoe is a labour of love for Wolfgang, its Austrian owner. The property feels brand new with three spotlessly clean bungalows with verandas in a short row, a couple of rooms around the back of the main structure (which we did not see), and a renovated "joglo", or traditional Balinese house made from 200 year old timber. We saw it from the outside but unfortunately for us, it had been previously booked and was occupied. In any case, it has its own private pool and lovely gardens. The grounds of Graha Ayoe are spacious and the main swimming pool is deep and cool with sun lounges and shade umbrellas. The food at Graha Ayoe was delicious. The breakfasts, included in the tariff were very generous and the lunch/dinner offerings were varied. One could select a range of Indonesian or international dishes from the menu or choose specialties from a chalk board. Wolfgang is proud of his kitchen and does some of the cooking himself. We did find the cost of some of the offerings more expensive than we had previously experienced, but would not fault the quality or creativity. Graha Ayoe is a short (but very hilly) 15 minute walk into Sidemen, best suited to people with reasonable fitness.

We had a wonderful stay . Everything was perfect. Wolfgang proposed to us a guide to walk through the fields on the surroundings, which was a real highlight as our guide knows all the people. This allowed us to interact with them. At Graha Ayoe you can be in the middle of nature and the local people! The local market, which is really not touristique, can be reached by a 10 minutes walk crossing an original bridge. We loved it!

AustraliaNothing. We had a small issue with the hot water but Wolfgang was quickly onto it and fixed it up.
Graha Ayoe was a like stepping into another world and a little paradise. Waking up with a waterfall right outside our door. The pool a perfect place to relax. The pictures don’t do the new rooms and facilities justice. Wolfgang and his team were amazing and very helpful. The onsite massage was wonderful and the breakfast included was outstanding. We ate each night at the restaurant. Easy to walk to the Yellow Bridge and silver making class.

The hotel is in a beautiful and tranquil location next to a river. We stayed in a bungalow with a stunning view of the immaculate garden, swimming pool, and a small waterfall on the river bordering the property. The room was well appointed, tastefully designed, and very comfortable, and it included a lovely outdoor shower. Wolfgang and his team are thoughtful, consummate hosts, attending to every detail. The food was fresh and well prepared. This was our most relaxing holiday in our two months in Bali and well worth it.

We had a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful 3 night stay at Graha Ayoe. We received a warm welcome from Wolfgang and his team on arrival and were charmed by the beautiful peaceful tropical garden environment that awaited us. We loved the sound of the flowing river just on the edge of the property. The location is surrounded by stunning rice field vistas and clear views all the way to Mt Agung. An easy walk gets you to a warung by the river and yellow bridge, with wild fireflies if walking back after dark. Cross the bridge and you’re in Sidemen town. We loved having a local cooking class just 200m up the road and a wonderful massage place 200m in the other direction! You can also organise massages through Graha Ayoe. We stayed in the beautiful bungalows at the front with pool and garden views, a very comfortable bed and lovely private outdoor bathroom. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. We appreciated how fast the satellite internet was, and how comfortable the room temperature stayed. We had little need for the aircon, but it is there if needed. One thing we won’t forget about our stay was the amazing food. We had breakfast and dinner every day and just wow! Beautiful fresh fruit in the morning with delicious eggs or pancakes. And the options for dinner were truly gourmet - fresh grilled fish and salads, fresh vegetable and Wolfgang catered so well for my vegetarian husband, who loved the food. We also won’t forget the amazing service and care we received, including giving us great tips about seeing the local areas and getting us medication from another town, when we realised we needed something not available locally. We chose Graha Ayoe because of the wonderful reviews from past guests (9.5/10 average score), but we understand those have now disappeared due to a technical glitch. There are similarly glowing reviews on Google. Don’t miss this due to a lack of reviews. Highly recommended!

SpainLocation is not the same as displayed in booking, the correct one is in google maps. You need to take a bumpy motorbike ride to get to the town and cross the unstable yellow bridge with the bike. Its a 30 min walk to the restaurant area of sidemen. The place where is located is beautiful, but just dont expect to have anything to do on a short walk distance from the hotel.
Very clean, right in the middle of nature, very cozy and welcoming. Towels smelled amazing! Property have bikes to rent.
