The pool is just for the pictures, it is dirty and not for the guests to use. The room is clean but you can see some spider webs around the ceiling.

Very close to the beaches but more in a rural area rather than the centre touristy one. Staff was nice and flexible. Really recommend this local place to eat called “Warung Kaka”, where you can also rent a bike. Also no lizards inside the room 😂 I was afraid of that, just keep the door closed and everything is good. AC works perfectly.

We were in room 3 and the floor of the bathroom was uneven, not allowing the water from the showers to drain, acumulating in a paddle, hence the next morning the smell in the bathroom was a bit putting off.

Spacious room, comfortable bed, working air conditioner, fan, and hot water shower, WiFi connection included. Has all the basics for making your stay confortable. There is some street noise as it is close to a busy road, my wife used earplugs during the stay and she had no trouble sleeping. Cleaning could be a little bit better. Bring your cash as they dont take credit card for payment. All in all is a good value but you are getting what you pay for, given the price we cannot complain. The host is kind and can help you get around if you need advice. Renting a scooter to traverse the area was not hard and it is highly encouraged, as walking in Balangan can be tricky with all the traffic.

Rooms were simply, air con was extremely loud. Bathroom was very basic but did the job. Little plunge pool was not usable, not an issue but don’t make decisions based on it.

Easy to get to many places in Uluwatu, need to take grabs / bikes but these are cheap.

The staff were rarely there, which is likely partly the reason why I it was so affordable. This did however lead to a slightly dubious security situation where the shared dorm that I was in was never locked, both during the day or at night with open access to the street. The area is very quiet though so I never felt too uncomfortable.

Could have been cleaner, gaps in doors, curtain over window was a mesh so you could pretty much see through/woken up by sunlight.

Very low water pressure. Sometimes the shower water just ran out completely. On our last day, there was no water in the shower for more than a day, we couldn't wash for two days. Almost every day, the electricity was cut off for a while. The mosquito net on the bed was so dirty and smelled bad, looks like it hadn't been washed in months, maybe years. Even touching it was unpleasant. In addition, it was stretched so there were large gaps. I had to tuck it into bed. The pillowcase was stained and not white. It didn't feel like something clean. The duvet cover had cigarette holes and stains as well. There was no shelf in the shower where you could put soap. I had to keep it in a bag on a hook.

A really nice host, ready to help. A pleasant courtyard with lots of trees. The hotel building is in the shade, so the coolness in the room remains for a long time. A nice quiet area where there is everything you need, a shop, a cafe, a laundry, scooter rental. There is enough space in the room, a lot of surfaces for things. The AC worked well.

There was not much to do around the hostel and you really need to go by scooter to places. It was not really a social hostel.

If you have appropriate expectations considering the price, there aren't many things to complain about. The mosqito net was worn down and old, but we didn't have problems with insects.

Very good value for money. If you just need a cheap place to sleep with A/C and basic amenities, it's for you. The owner is very nice and chill. He helped us with scooter and surfboard rental. Definitely get a scooter to get around. It's a perfect place for surfers on budget.

Sorry to say but music at some drunk people shouting 4 am in the night just in front of the dorm made the atmosphere less pleasant to me. Hope it was just a random event. For the price I was expecting a better toilet

It doesn’t look like in the pictures anymore. I think they need to do a lot of maintenance. I stayed in a private room and the smell of humidity was very strong. The sheets despite seeming clean, had some stains. The bathroom had mold on the wall. Probably the cleaning is very superficial. Also, the location is not good if you want to go out, and I couldn't find anything near to get something to eat… probably it is good if you just want to go to the only beach that is really near to do surf.

There were no keys to the lockers so nothing could be put away so everyone’s stuff had to be left on the floor which is unavoidable unfortunately. The wifi wasn’t great and the plug next to my bed didn’t work so charging my phone was hard. We had top bunks and it was difficult climbing the ladders as the steps were so big and spaced far. The location was about a 15 min scooter ride so not bad but there is not much around the hostel. The bathrooms were pretty dirty and there was only two so I’d often find myself waiting to shower or use the toilet. The air con was also not great so the beds got really hot at night and the curtains didn’t cover the full end of the bed.

The social area was okay and there was a light by the bed. The cat there was super cute although it meowed a lot for food. If the hostel is going to allow the cat to be there (which it should as the cat is a great addition) it should provide food so the guests don’t feel obliged to buy it. There was a water refill station which was nice.
