How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I didn't like anything. After staying in 2 different properties, we had our last stay in this hotel. Nothing was good. The hotel staff didn't respond properly. Hospitality 0, charging higher prices for everything. (I will give an example:- we asked for airport drop service so they told 175K, we opened the Grab app and checked the price, it was 27k. And this is just one example of many). This hotel is greedy. During checkout also they tried a lot to get some money by saying all lies regarding missing glasses etc. breakfast had nothing to eat. Ants everywhere. Bathroom didn't have hand washes or lotions or tissues besides sinks. I can literally go on an on and on. I wanted to give 0 stars but just for the duplex villa being spacious and romantic, i gave 3 stars. Not recommended at all. There are many other places to stay much better than this at the same price.

Verified reviewThe Villas at 18 Suite are reasonable priced for their central location in Kuta. It’s a great option if you are looking for a more classic Balinese villa stay rather than a big hotel. The staff were friendly and communicated over WhatsApp to ensure a smooth check in and helped us organise a transfer to the airport for our departure. We stayed in the ground floor villa and found it to be spacious and relaxing.
There were a lot of little things that could be improved to make this stay more comfortable. The villas are very tired and a bit of maintenance and deep cleaning is required. There were a few stains on the bedding and the pool edge is quite mouldy. We booked a villa specifically so we could have access to a kitchenette, however it is not well equiped. I had to ask for some dishwashing supplies and while my request was heard, I was offered a dirty kitchen sponge and restaurant napkin in place of a tea towel. The stovetop itself was a real pain to use and tap sprayed water everywhere (not great when you’re trying not to get it in your food). Although not a terrible issue, on our last night we called to order room service, but were told we would need to come out to the restaurant instead, defeating the purpose of trying to order in. Our checkout process was also quite confused and balance owing kept changing by the minute as we were trying to leave, which made us feel as though we were been taken advantage of. Even though it mentions that airport transfers are included on booking.com, they are not and cost idr 225000 for pickup and idr 175000 for drop off.

Was a little noisy outside with bikes and dogs barking but I think this is the case anywhere you stay around Kuta. We wore earplugs and had a great night's sleep. We stayed after a few nights in very quiet places so we were probably more aware of the noise than others
