Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsAs always in Indonesia, bathrooms are not well maintained. Some how I do not get this. There is always something broke, not clean, watertap loose in its socket, to less space to put things. This bathroom was ….ok.
I loved this place. Take care however. They have very basic rooms. They are not comfortable for long stay. We had superior rooms. They were good. Good beds, good airconditioning, good breakfast and nice pool. The lobby has typical vintage Javanese feel. Staff is very friendly. Location is super. Some nice bars with live music. Very mixed. Local students, backpackers and tourists. Even some ‘underground’ bars. Walking distance some very good restaurants, antique shops and a sublime bookstore. Laundry available within 2 minutes walking distance. All interesting locations in the city easily to reach by Grab or Gocek (Asian equivalent of Uber). 15-20 minutes rides for €1,- and something. Kraton interesting if you make sure that there isa performance. The dance performances are impressive and not a weak touristy copy. High level. Summerpalace very interesting if with an official local guide. They will give you interesting info and make you understand where you are. If they are passionate and take their job seriously you should tip them 80.000-100.000. If not 50.000 should do the job. Fort Vredenburg is nice if you interested in the Merdeka history. Museum ArtJog is nice if you like conceptual art. I wandered through alleys of the main roads and ran into a lot of fun things. Markets, playgrounds, community centers, schools. The people from Yogya are very friendly and interactive if you make the first step. A smile and ‘how are you’ opens a conversation with adults and children. The older youth, students (Yogja is a student city) are very worldly wise and speak good English. If you want to meet these students head for Droptill bar 50 meters to your right. Breakfast was great!

MalaysiaAll rooms should be air-conditioned. Please read the outlines well before booking here.
For a start it is the Indonesian Hospitality. As my event was in Kabupaten Bantul, the location to travel was easy. Night life is crowded outside the road with people crawling to the pubs and F&B locations. So food and drinks is easy to lay your hands on. The breakfast was simple yet tasty.

PolandMake sure you get a room in front of waterfall otherwise pool pump will kill your sleep. It makes squeaky noises throughout the night. Make sure you bring ear plugs as there’s mosque nearby.

Czech RepublicBathroom was dirty with moldy curtain. Also it was clear that nobody checked the room before our stay, because there was spider in big spiderweb in the bathroom. There was dust in the bedroom.
The staff was nice. Swimmingpool and common area was really cool with lot of plants and fish. It was okay for one night, but I wouldn't stay longer..

HungaryThe bathroom is very old and I felt like it is not cleaned properly in detail from time to time. The lights in the room were quite weak, sometimes like a cave with candles.
The pool is awesome, at night the vibe is really cool. The location is also perfect, there are plenty of options around to eat, drink and party. The price is reasonable.

FranceLittle bit apart from city center -malioboro and also from the train station (if coming from the airport by train). But grab is not expensive from there. There are also travel agencies and for any activity they can pick you up from the hotel.
Well located to have lunch & dinner next to cool bars & restaurants. Beautiful common areas, cared vegetation and trees and swimming pool well maintained.
