How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room had a musty, mouldy smell, but I didn't mind too much. Just opened the doors when I could and left the bathroom fan on. I figure it goes with the climate - so humid. Also one of the two single beds wasn't very supportive, bowed down a bit in the middle.
Loved the 'hidden' element, down a long alley from the main road. I was on the third (top) floor and loved the views over the rooftops. The pool was fabulous and bed comfy. Could open the double doors to let breeze in during the day for siesta time. 5 min walk to Yoga Barn.

We had 2 rooms and both bathrooms smelt damp/foisty, this was eased by leaving the extractor and AC on when going out for the day, it did still have a damp smell though. The pool area could do with a clean down.
The pool was nice after a day walking or travelling. The beds were really comfortable, and the rooms were cleaned with fresh towels everyday. Breakfast was included every morning.

Wifi is very slow No TV in the room Same menu everyday for breakfast Had an issue with door lock. Next day they were able to fix.

Last-minute booking for one night. Lovely homestay in a very central location in Ubud. The rooms were spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. Excellent value for money.

The door had a slight problem and even when closed had an open space on the side. The staff were very cooperative and fixed it fast though.
It was very well located to the market and nice coffee places. The breakfast with the fruits and eggs was good. The room was comfortable and spacious.

The only one thing that I didn’t like was the staff having no idea how I could get a taxi to the airport or approximately how much it would cost to the airport? That felt a little frustrating.
The location was perfect. The room had everything I needed. It was nice and cool.

Excellent location, close to everything but tucked down a side street so super quiet from the road. Not a lot of sound proofing so if people on balcony or using the pool late at night can be very noisy but that only had once. Bed was super comfy. Breakfast was great too. Very good value for budget stay.

Super good location in Ubud, close to supermarket and may restaurants. Staff was extremely sweet and helpful. Pool and breakfast area very nice and clean. Decent breakfast offered with room. Room was big and comfy, nice balcony and view, seating area. Very good price for what you receive. Highly recommend to stay here and would stay again myself.

There was a little leak in the ceiling of my bathroom, did get checked after my stay. Towels didn't dry very well.
Cool facility, nice rooms with powerful AC, situated close to Ubud center.

Few little things as empty soaps in the bathroom, only 1 bottle of drinking water per day

Amazing place with a very nice staff! Everyone is super helpful and friendly. The location is perfect—you can walk everywhere, and it’s on a quiet street. The only downsides are the humidity (clothes and bed sheets always feel a bit damp) and the roosters next door that start crowing at 6 AM, making it hard to sleep :(

However, the towels are very worn and in poor condition.

Just be prepared to not have hot water (the water is pretty warm naturally so no stress) and mainly you can’t flush toilet paper you have to put it in a bin

The towels do not absorb at all. Loud clanking all night, I believe from the koi fish area under my room. Although beautiful, needed earplugs for the clanking, disappointed to have to use them (although they didn’t silence the noise) since location is hidden from traffic sounds.
The location was great for walking everywhere with ease. The staff were beyond kind and helpful. Absolutely beautiful grounds, away from all traffic noise.
