How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay! The place is perfectly located, just off the main road, which makes it both convenient and quiet. The manager and staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and they really made us feel at home. Our room was very spacious, the bed was super comfortable, and everything was well taken care of. We’ll definitely be coming back!

there is a mosque nearby and there is a prayer going on during the night that you can hear from the room. if you ou have trouble for sleeping this place is not for you

Verified reviewThe room is large and the tall roof gives an airy feeling. The bathroom is also large and partly open to air which we liked ( although it allows mosquitoes in the room which we did not like).
The road is busier than one may think when looking on the map so it was a bit noisier than we expected and yes the mosque is very close and very loud at sunrise. Nothing truly dependent on the hotel.

Verified reviewI absolutely loved my stay at this place in Kuta so much that I ended up extending not once, not twice, but three times! From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed and taken care of - a massive thank you to the owner and the amazing guys working at Drift, who made me feel completely at home. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, with a big bathroom and a super comfortable bed: everything you need to truly relax ( I came after my Rinjani hike, thus the comfy bed was crucial for my sore body!) They went above and beyond to make sure I had the best time and didn’t lack anything. Truly, I was treated like a princess, from the delicious, fresh breakfasts (that bread deserves its own shoutout!) to the genuine kindness and attentiveness with every single request I had (and I mean any request, they were that helpful!). Their warmth, hospitality, and care made my time in Lombok unforgettable. It’s rare to find a place where you feel this good - this was more than just accommodation, it felt like home. The bed was very comfy, and there was great access to drinking water. We throughly enjoyed our stay here, and the staff were great - helping us arrange a moped and making delicious breakfasts. Everything is squeaky clean and the staff is so friendly and goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The neighborhood is great since it’s quiet but still central. Verified reviewI had an incredible time at this place! From the moment I stepped in, I felt totally at home. The team was awesome, always there to lend a hand with a big smile. The room and breakfast? Absolutely stunning—by far the best I've had in Kuta! They even helped me so quickly with a scooter and laundry! The privacy was exceptional, and the pool and gardens were very beautiful, clean and inviting. This whole stay was amazing that i extended 3 times and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone planning a visit. Will be back soon!

Verified reviewThe best part of the stay is the location and the friendlyness of the staff! However, it is kind of expensive, for the price I would have hoped to get clean towels and maybe clean room more often. But also it was during fasting and can imagine staff is pretty tired. It rained alot during my stay and the toilet gets rained on aswell. But staff was very nice and helpfull providing scooter and always there to help.

Verified reviewWith only 4 rooms this is a great little hotel to enjoy Kuta from. The room was comfortable with a good bathroom and a small porch area in front of the pool. Breakfast was good, the WiFi strong and the staff friendly. We hired a scooter from the hotel at a reasonable price. This was essential to get around. There are restaurants within walking distance however and the main drag is only 15 minutes walk away.
There is a lot of building in and around Kuta and while we were there the road was flooded with a burst water main. The pool area is a little tired and while we were there the cushions on the sun beds were left out in the rain and never really dried out. The pool looked a little uninviting.

Verified reviewCalm area, never heard the mosque which is not very far away. Cosy place, not too big, nice pool. The bed was very comfy (i’m always complaining about the hard bed in Asia usually). The owner, Deano, was very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely go there again if i come back and recommend it to other people.
