Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalUnfortunately, I had a couple of sleepless nights due to thin walls and noises from the neighboring room. It wasn't anyone's fault, just is the building technique used and I am a very light sleeper. Everything else was really enjoyable. I think if the family wants to avoid this type of feedback, they will probably have to add some insulation to the wall someday....would be really helpful. I don't think all of the rooms are this way but it'd be worth asking for a quiet room if you are a light sleeper like me.
A serene, family establishment with kind and helpful staff and beautiful views. Was a great starting point for Melanting Falls, which I would highly recommend if it has been dry for at least a day, due to slippery, mossy, steep, concrete paths....and/or a walking stick really helps (your fitness level and spirit of adventure is a factor here) and the staff provides this, as well as really great directions, if you ask them. In fact, they can't do enough to help. Andra makes the best chocolate brownie cake dessert on the planet. Don't miss this ;))

United StatesThe staff is amazing and very hospitable. Our room smelled very damp and we had low water pressure in the bathroom. The view from the room's balcony was lovely, especially with a coffee in hand from the on property coffee shop. Overall, the value was appropriate and the staff made our stay pleasant!

United StatesThanks to the Kraras Munduk Guesthouse and its staff, our stay in Munduk was wonderful. The room was cozy and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The location was ideal for exploring the waterfalls on foot from the hotel, walking into town, or watching the sun set at a nearby bar. Hendra, the manager, was always available to book a tour, help with transportation, or make a recommendation. Our waterfall hike with Bawa exceeded our expectations- meandering there through rice fields and forest, he introduced us to all the flowers and fruit trees we passed. The waterfall was stunning. Having a quality restaurant on site was ideal—Andra was so warm and welcoming, her coffee great, and the food very tasty. The restaurant is all glass with a beautiful terrace on top to take breakfast. The hotel arranged a guide to take us to our next stop-Made was awesome and we had such a fun day with him. Language was no problem as Hendra, Andra and Made were quite fluent. The value was amazing. I highly recommend carving out a couple of days in your Bali trip for Munduk and get a taste of a slower, lusher and greener Bali at the Kraras Munduk Guesthouse.

ItalyNothing wrong about the guesthouse. Just Munduk itself is a bit isolated from other places and it doesn't offer fairly basic services like ATMs (which we were helped get to in the nearby village again by the amazing staff).
Wonderful guest house in the small village of Munduk. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome and staff was simply great. There was no hot water in the shower but it was fixed immediately. They even managed to book a fantastic cooking class for us at a nearby cooking school and took us there and back with their mopeds. Location is lovely, with great views on the surrounding mountains and just a short walk from the local warungs, cafes and restaurants of the village. Also, you can walk from the guesthouse to the local waterfalls for a very scenic walk across coconut, clove and coffee plantations. We didn't try the onsite restaurant but it looked lovely. Overall I would definitely recommend!

The staff truly made this a special place to stay. They are second to none. They went out of their way to help us when my husband injured his elbow when he slipped while visiting a waterfall. Ananda in the dining area, speaks fluent English. The noise out on the street is muffled before it gets to your room. The bathroom is beautiful, as are the orchids in the garden area. There is an espresso machine here. Apple wontons are delicious. The view from our balcony was beautiful.

The staff were exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful, especially Andra, and Ali, who was my private guide on a mountain hike to visit three waterfalls. The room was large with a comfortable bed and good shower (good pressure and hot water). The room had large windows and an outdoor space overlooking the mountain. The food and service in the dining room was very good. The location is a little remote which made for a quiet retreat in nature.

United KingdomHighly recommend a stay here. Rooms are huge and have a beautiful view of the landscape. The staff are absolutely wonderful and helped us organise a taxi at 4am, making us a nice breakfast to go. They also gave us a good recommendation and map for a waterfall walk (you can pay to have a guide but the map is easily to follow!).

United KingdomWe had a connecting door to another room and we were glad the other room was empty most of the time we were there as we could hear the other people when they arrived. The water was sometimes cold in the shower and the WiFi was a bit sporadic.
A lovely place to stay with amazing views. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed The staff are amazing and helped us arrange a driver for a day trip and a guide to walk with us to the local waterfalls. Both the driver and the guide were brilliant, very kind and helpful. The breakfast and the dinner in the restaurant were delicious. All the staff are so friendly and helpful and thank you so much for my birthday surprise. We had such a special stay that we’ll never forget.
