Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. The hotel is centrally located, tucked away in between passages of small temples. The staff is very nice, and the rooms are spacious.

The hotel is in the very good location, near to the central of Ubud, surrounding with tourist attractions and good restaurant. Very friendly staff and good proficient in English. Room and accomodation is value for the price.

NetherlandsWe did not take that into account in the rating but): there are multiple roosters waking up at 3.00 in the night and making a lot of noise, so please take your earplugs! ( the roosters are every where in the center of Ubud, so not linked to Donald homestay).
location is fantastic. staff superfriendly. The room is clean and spacious. Swimming pool is smal but nice and people used it to relax ( we did not) . Shower was nice.

AustraliaIt was very reasonably priced so I understand why there were less facilities but a fridge in the room and small tv that could screen netflix or youtube would definitely have raised my rating. Also, little things like having a bottle opener in the room would be great.
This is a great location and the rooms were lovely and light filled. Nice little pool and beautiful gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

DenmarkFab location, excellent value for money. Finally a place that has both air-conditioning AND a fan (I don't like to sleep with aircon). Breakfast basic but good. Homestay also basic, but good. Brilliant to live on Goutoma Strret with a 5 year old, so I didn't have to worry as much about the traffic when we went out for dinner (it closes off for cars @18.00, but during the day there wasnt really many cars anyway on that street). Door had a gap underneath, but didn't have a single mosquito in the room, so that didn't matter.

United StatesOur stay at Donald Homestay had a few highlights and some areas for improvement. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, which is always a plus after a long journey. The room itself had some mixed features. The air conditioning worked very well, which was essential for a comfortable stay. While the bed was a bit too firm for my liking, the ceiling fan was a nice addition. We also appreciated that the room was clean and offered a good view of the pool. However, the lighting was just fair, and I found it inconvenient that there was only one wastebasket, located in the bathroom. The bathroom was a good size, and I particularly liked the ample counter space for toiletries. The wet shower setup was functional. One of the best aspects of this homestay was its location, which was excellent. While I didn't have the chance to use the plunge pool, it looked very inviting and well-maintained. Overall, Donald Homestay has a lot going for it, particularly its location and some of the room amenities. With a few minor improvements, it could be an even better experience.

AustraliaI didn't have my own balcony as such and I was in room 4. Most of the other rooms had their own.
The location was in the centre of downtown Ubud, lots of very well priced eateries and shops around. There was also a massage place downstairs! The free breakfast was great and there was tea coffee and water always available. All facilities were clean and it was such a quiet place in the middle of a really busy area. Would definitely stay here again!

I had a wonderful stay at this charming resort in Ubud! Despite the compact size of the room, it came equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay—truly impressive how they’ve managed to include such complete amenities in a small space. Plus the swimming was good. The location is fantastic, offering easy access to Ubud’s vibrant sights and serene surroundings, which made exploring a breeze.
