When we arrived our room had been 'double booked' or someone tried to extend there stay. The owner tried giving us a partial £4 refund which we didn't accept as we had booked this month or more in advance and paid extra for the nicer room as we needed a break from moving around and didn't want a lesser room or to move our luggage again to another room at some point once the occupant had left. The owners then removed the occupant and put us in the room. On the last night of our stay, the next door bar was pretty loud too which kept us up until the early hours until it turned off- however this was only on 1 of the nights and we didn't here this on any other night and the other nights of the stay was very quiet and peaceful. Apart from the small hiccups the stay was great and we highly recommend it

The property is located on a cliff that boasts the best sunset we've seen in Asia (photo unedited). We opted for the delux cabin room. The bed was genuinely unbelievably comfortable; as were the pillows. The aircon is good too. The hotel is just a little out the way of lots going on apart from the bar next door. Restaurants etc are a 5-15 minute walk or few minute moped away. We also hired a motorbike from this hotel. The couple who owned it were nice and the lady cooked a basic breakfast and coffee included in the booking price which we appreciated. There was also a useful fridge/mini bar in the room.

Room layout is terrible. No furniture for storing clothes or luggage. Tap in room didn't work. No ventilation in bathroom. Door is not secure.

Bumpy tracks/Roads....make sure you're feet are well covered

It was great...... very boutique spot....don't expect night clubs ...great place given a little bit off the beat....mind you.. mushroom bay and lot of usual spots are within 30 minutes walk. The staff at the accommodation were great ....the views were impressive, however a few days hmmmm...what else is there ?....Well for me it was early 5:00 am walks and simply chilling whilst doing so.......It's just something different....stay a few nights...then take a leap and emerge yourself in something possibly new. PS: room rates are great for the budget...and local food is outstanding 😁😁

We didn't always have hot water and WiFi was patchy in the room, but that's just being picky. Would still definitely stay here again.

Couldn't ask for a better view, relaxing in the pool looking out at the sunset. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main beach but still plenty of warungs etc close by. Great staff too.

The rooms were dated, my door was stuck ajar and would let bugs in. The walls were thin so you could hear everything outside and the sun would come in the room at sunrise as curtains were see through. But it’s a beautiful location and for the price you pay I believe it’s fair

Amazing view, very nice family staff. Helped us with getting a taxi and answered all our questions. Scooter rental on site which made getting around easy. Loved our stay and would definitely return!

Breakfast was a bit small

Beautiful location, friendly hosts, easy to get around, quiet and not a lot of people. We saw turtles almost every day and dolphins swam past a few times.

Made and his wife very friendly but often not there...Most rooms are not bungalows although that's pictured in the promo..

The clifftop location and evening views made Dodol a memorable stay... A very quiet setting ,just a couple of other guests in shoulder season.If you felt more sociable a 20 meter stroll to Cloudlands sunset bar or the restaurant next door.

Getting to the homestay was not easy as the roads was full of pot holes and taxi ride was expensive.
