Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsEverything was great! Just one small suggestion: maybe put on the website that the gate to the property is closed at night. We wanted to go buy some snacks at a shop at around 22:00 and we couldn’t get out (or find anyone to let us out)
Super clean, large room and nice bathroom. staff was super helpful, they even brought breakfast to the room when my boyfriend was feeling sick. All in all a perfect place to stay.

TaiwanThe facilities in the room, breakfast and home-cooking meals are great. Very nice owner and family. The staff there are very friendly and helpful, too. The crater rim trekking tour is recommended if you stay longer in Tetebatu.

United Arab EmiratesThe water was not quite hot at start but then I told Edi and he sorted it out and I had my hot shower. So no real issue here 😉 It might feel as if they were selling their tour... which i ended taking and which was actually the best choice ever! I had just the perfect day. Doni (guide) tailored everything to my needs and requests. I learned so much! So again.. no real issue! Just take the tour you won't regret it.
Edi and his family are amazing! Everything was so nice! He took care of me and my friend. Provided for Everything we needed and asked for. Massage, manicure & pedicure, waterfal, ricefield, local delicacy special request snails from the ricefields 😋😋😋, ricewine, cacao, ATM, laundry, special souvenirs, music every night, scooter, .... just ask for it and you get it! And for a reasonable price! The mattrass was the most comfortable i have had in Indonesia. Food was great. Always with complimentary fruits and water. I had an amazing time at Dira bungalow. I just came back from Rinjani and it was very convenient to have only 2 steps between my room and the restaurant! As my legs were killing me 😆!

United KingdomThe only downside was the lack of hot water in the shower, but everything else was perfect!
We had such a lovely stay at Edi’s homestay! Edi and his family were so friendly and welcoming — they really made our time in Tetebatu special. The views over the rice paddies are stunning, and the bungalow had everything we needed. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious and great value. We also joined their trekking tour, which was a real highlight. In the evenings, they played acoustic music and encouraged guests to join in, creating a really warm atmosphere. We were there during Eid, and they even shared traditional food with us for free — such a kind gesture. Highly recommend!

NetherlandsStayed 2 nights with my friend, both in the comfy bungalow in the middle of green nature. We were warmly welcomed and the next day we went on a tour by scooter with Andre and Rizal to the waterfalls, rice fields and the Monkey Forrest where we spotted black and grey monkeys. Had a wonderful and relaxing day! On the last evening a large group of friends came over again. They made music together and grilled fresh chicken on a campfire. It was so cozy and we met a lot of lovely people! I will never forget this evening! ❤️

PortugalA sugestion would be to have some more light in the room, is very hard to see much at night. The cleaning could be a bit better, I understand is surrounded by nature but there were quite a lot of spider webs mainly in the toilet. The room had no window, expect for a tiny one next to the door. 3 of the rooms woke up at sunrise to watch it from the fields as suggested by the owner, but we were locked inside the property, so we all missed sunrise.
The location is right in the middle of beautiful green fields, easy to reach and manager was kind and welcoming upon arrival. The bed was okay and the space worked fine for a one night stay.

AustraliaBeautiful location and room with comfortable bed. Incredible views all around. The staff are kind and welcoming. Very helpful and personally took me around to all of the sights. I only had 2 nights but could easily spend more time here as there is a lot to see. And also it is very nice just to relax in the gorgeous surroundings. Peaceful and quiet. I ate every meal at the restaurant and was very happy with the good quality local food. I highly recommend and will definitely return.

SpainI have never wrote a reveiw before but this place deserves it!!! Dira bungalows was amazing. The owner Majidi (eddy) and all of his family were so so kind and they make you feel as part of their family. The room was lovely and so was the food. The surroundings are amazing, its set in the middle of rice fields.I had a health issue while staying and they called out the best doctor in Lombok to take me to hospital were i was treated better than in my own country. I cannot explain how gratefull i am. His wife and sons were so kind and even prepared food at nearly midnight because i was hungry. His son Max is such a nice person and is now a personal friend of mine, they invite you to eat, drink sing and play music all night long with them. An amazing place with amazing people. I 100% recommend it and will return.

GermanyOnly a few things that aren’t there fault: At around 4am in the morning you can hear the morning prayer of the mosques for about half an hour which is quite loud. In the first night i got woken up by it but it was something that didn’t really annoy me because they stop after 20/30 minutes and you can continue sleeping. So i recommend to bring some ear plugs or to drink some rice wine in the evening so you can sleep through. 😉 It is also a little bit hard to reach unless you come with your own scooter. So prepare to pay a little bit for the pick up or a taxi but it is definitely worth it! And now in the end just two little things that i would have wished for: The banana pancakes would be even better if you would serve them with a little chocolate sauce/ maple syrup/ honey. (They gave us some on request.) And also if you could decide how much the tours in the rice fields or the handcraft tour cost without changing the price a couple of times.
I had an amazing stay and really enjoyed my time at Dira Bungalow! I just wanted to stay two nights at first but extended for two more nights. The Bungalows are basic but very clean and cozy. The big bed is very comfortable. It is not to hard and not to soft and it has a mosquito net you can use. You got a ventilator in the room (no ac) which i never used because you are next to the mount rinjani so especially in the evening and during the night it cools down by it self to a very nice temperature. They have such a nice view as well. Either on mount rinjani or their own chilli and rice garden. The food is super tasty. They cook it fresh after you ordered it and it is plenty! I can highly recommend to try the family dinner where they provide a freshly cooked ‘all you can eat’ buffet of local dishes for all their guests. Also very good are the spring rolls which i already struggled to finish and on top of that they served us a plate with fresh local fruit every evening and morning on the house. They shared their snacks with us so we can try them and you can always order a coffee or a tea for free. But we also didn’t miss to try the local rice wine. Sometimes a couple of glasses in the evening. 😉 The owners and the staff are such friendly people. I felt like a part of a big family (maybe because it is a whole family including the son and his cousins) who run the whole accommodation. In the evening after dinner we all sat on the big table and they started making music and we started singing together. Once we were out of breath we continued playing music of our own choice over some speakers and just talked until very late and shared some good laughs. On the last evening we had a little party and we all danced together. We had such an amazing time! They offer two tours as well.
