Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThere was a bit of walk down narow lanes/ paths to get there and the pictures are VERY old. It was a fairly nice surprise but you're not geting rice field view - you're getting jungle.
Room was newer than the ones pictured, very comoftable beds with outlook to jungle from the room when curtains were opened. It was great yto wake up too. Pancakes for breakfast with fruit and coffee - good start to the day and tasty. We switched to the slightly more updated and easier to access room due to our littlest person having additional needs.

NetherlandsThe bathroom is clearly quite old, but everything seemed very clean nonetheless.
I thought this hotel has a great location, just outside the busy streets of the center of Ubud. The last +/- five minutes have to be done on foot or scooter, cars cannot come there.

SingaporePool view is different than the photos, please update the current pool view. Need to walk bit longer through the path, not a fan since it rains a lot this December in Ubud
Big and clean room and wide aisle outside of the room, quite windy, the sunny day with breeze will be great. And they have a big space (rooftop looklike) beside the pool for ppl who want to enjoy sunshine

United KingdomRooms could use some updating but did the job! The pictures arent an accurate representation of how the property currently looks and needs updating. The view is still lovely but it isn’t rice fields anymore, its trees. Only 2 of the rooms (family rooms) and the pool have the view in the pictures
Property is in a beautiful setting, off the busy main roads with a lovely pool looking over the trees. Some rooms had a lovely view from the balcony. Room had what you needed Great, good value restaurants nearby Really kind staff

New ZealandBasic kitchen facilities, but the warang just up the path was such a great place to eat, who needs a kitchen.
A beautiful, tranquil location close to the centre of Ubud. Staff were so friendly & helpful. Breakfast was basic, but great value and very tasty. The pool is fantastic, and the fresh passionfruit hanging from the veranda, were delicious. Would definitely recommend.

AustraliaRooms need updating (peeling wallpaper, lamp broken) the pool has brown tiles so looks dirty even though it's fairly clean, but isn't as inviting/relaxing as pools with blue/green tile. There was no food choice for breakfast- only banana pancake and fruit which I wouldn't have purchased as no choice of egg/protein or savoury option. Also you need to carry your luggage to & from Bisma which is a 500 metre walk.
Well located, family run, simple accommodation, clean, spacious room with bathroom that had no musty smell which was great. The family are friendly and helpful. There's a fantastic Warung Gauri's minutes away and a short walk to Bisma. The view from the pool is lovely over the trees but there's no rice field view anymore- photos need updating. The location is nice and quiet to sleep and only minutes walk to the main restaurant area.

AustraliaThe bathroom floor would remain wet after showering as didn't have a seperate area (shower over bath didn't work) and bathroom floor wouldnt dry. We just had a dedicated pair of bathroom shoes not to spread through rest of villa. This was a minor issue.
Loved that it was removed from the busyness, loved the pool, loved the view and also loved the simple but delicious breakfast.

South AfricaAlthough it was not a problem and we felt that it added to the “charm” of the property it should be mentioned that one cannot access the property by vehicle and have a 400m walk through narrow streets and rice fields to reach the property. Only a problem when arriving with luggage.
Comfortable, clean stay on the edge of rice field and forest. Amazing staff, great breakfasts and relaxing pool area.

ItalyUnfortunately the view is not as seen on the photos as some risefields became another hotel, but it's not the property's fault. Photos need to be refreshed. The road to get to the property is quite small, no cars allowed. Easy with backpacks, not the best with suitcases.
Staff is very friendly and super helpful. Location is nice, you need to pass the risefields before accessing the property which is nice. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is very good, but a little bit late from 8am. We asked to have it earlier and we got it at 7:30. Great value.
