Beautiful a frame apartments with open air bathrooms and small Kitchenette. Large water fountain was wonderful as we drink maids of water, tea and coffee supplied. I had a cold when we arrived and staff were wondering running to town for lozenges etc. Lunch and dinner were set menus and of a good size for us. The setting in the rice paddies was quiet and very picturesque we enjoyed wandering and taking photos. The pool was lovely albeit a little cold at this time of year.

After moving on we realised we were a little isolated from town but that can also be a good thing..

The property was set in an idyllic field with palm trees and ocean views. It felt like a private, magic oasis. The rooms were well designed and comfortable and stocked with delicious drinks, snacks and water. The outdoor bathroom and shower was a fun novelty. The communal areas (pool, restaurant and spa) were clean and spacious allowing enough space for all guests. The food was delicious - some of the best meals I had on my whole trip to Bali! Home cooked, authentic and flavorsome. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home.

Due to the private and quiet location there are not many food options near by unless you have access to a bike or car.

The location is fantastic. The sea, the beach, the pool, the energy around and created by the team here is magical. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so full of ease and love and for taking such care to accommodate our dietary needs- we will be back x

Surrounded by rice paddies, looking through a coconut grove at the crushing waves at the beach while sitting on the veranda of our cosy A-frame cabin we felt like minor gods on the island of gods. The endless beach empty, our stomachs full with the simple but delicious dinner, listening to the birds, the frogs and the cicadas we feared the day we had to leave. Every single person on the staff was friendly, helpful and competent. Much of this - including many design choices - Desa Cabins owes to Diana, the woman who runs the place. Thank you Diana, Nanda, Bungi, ... and all the others who's names I shouldn't have forgotten.

We should have spent the Silent Day (Nyepi) at Desa Cabins too. Our bad.

Once we arrived and checked in, the grounds and sprawling cabin layout were the perfect antidote to the bumpy ride on the road in. Cute but small cabins, only 6 in total and a small but homely kitchen where they cook different menu's depending on the day. A highlight for us was the generously sized infinity pool, and plenty of sun loungers. This overlooks an expansive rice paddy run by locals and presents a peaceful beachfront rice farm with cows and ducks plenty nearby. Dog lovers may find this stay more enjoyable.

Probably avoid getting a massage till they've built the spa room. We were treated to a massage in a spare cabin but not something I would recommend for a relaxed therapy. The therapists tried their best. There's not much of a road leading in, not that the owners wear the blame for infrastructure but something to note. Bigger cars may fare better...ours was a tiny one.

Nothing else around so would only be suitable for complete relaxation and not wanting to do anything but relax beside the pool. There are limited dining options, no menu in restaurant and nothing near by for food and dining so this is very limited.

Diana and her team really made a great stay fantastic! What can I say - the food was delicious, great pool overlooking the rice fields and ocean beyond, and of course my cabin with its amazing outdoor bathroom with views across the rice fields to the hills beyond. For me it was the perfect chillout break. Thank you!

We stayed at Desa Cabin for 3 nights, and it was our absolute favorite place to stay during our trip to Bali. While we visited Ubud, Canggu, and Uluwatu, this peaceful and quiet retreat stood out as the perfect escape from the crowds. Oma, the manager, made sure we felt comfortable and at home throughout our stay, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and kind. The food was amazing, the pool was stunning, and everything about the cabin was designed for tranquility. Our cabin room was perfect, and we loved the walk to the beach through the rice fields. A special highlight was the friendly and well-behaved dogs on the property, which added to the charm. Thank you, Oma, and all the staff for making our stay so memorable. Desa Cabin was the perfect end to our Bali adventure before heading back to the United States. We’ll always cherish our time here and can’t wait to return!

absolutely everything! this is the best place in Bali! it is away from al the crowds and buys areas very intimate and it allows you to relax and enjoy the real Bali vibe. The stuff is extremely friendly and Diana who is the manager is more like your friend making you feel very welcomed. We could not be happier with the choice of accommodation for our second week in Bali. We read some previous reviews from other guest that the place is too far and not much around but who cares- if you need a place where you are surrounded by nature, close to the beautiful beach and you can relax and enjoy peace and quiet this is the best place you can find. Food in their restaurant is absolutely delicious and it was so nice of them that they catered specially the menus for us as vegans :) the best holiday destination!

Very beautiful surroundings and nice pool. Food was really good. Nice dogs. Possible to rent scooter.

Because the cabins are made of wood, there is no noice isolation. You hear a lot of noises outside, nature noises but also the busy road behind the cabins. There is not much to do in the area. Breakfast options are very limited. Staff is really nice, but communication is difficult because of the language barrier. Management of the staff was not always professional.

Desa Cabins has great rooms equipped with pretty much everything you need including a very handy water dispenser, the Indonesian food cooked in the hotel kitchen was delicious and fresh, the views of the mountain and fields are fantastic, and the place has one of the best swimming pools in Bali. I really enjoyed the relaxing vibe around the resort and the neat garden and surroundings. The staff and management were also very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Miscommunication on a number of occasions. Dinner time, menu and price were not clearly communicated and there was no room cleaning for the duration of a 3 night stay. The welcome coconuts were gathering fruit flies on the day we departed…

Liked the privacy of the place, proximity to untouched nature, friendly and care of staff

From the advantages there is one feature that you need to have in mind. The nearest popular places are about an hour by car. We took the car for rent and it was not a problem for us

Since the moment I landed the owner of Desa Cabins treated me with so much care! My flight was delayed and they stay up late to welcome me with dinner :) Additionally, the place is a dream, the food is delicious and the hospitality can't be any better!
