Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere is some occasional noise from the restaurant- but this never once disturbed us. The loft bungalow we stayed in could do with a bit of maintenance - the floor is quite unstable and causes the bathroom door to move when you walk around.
The location is brilliant, literally on the main street in Ubud. The staff were so helpful and kind, they even provided us with food during Nyepi as we did not have a fridge or kettle. The room was very cosy and the courtyard was peaceful - perfect for sitting and reading.

MongoliaWhen we first arrived we haven’t got our preferred booked room. Instead they offer us to stay in their superior room with same price. But it was next to the kitchen, restaurant hall. That was noisy in the evening and in the early morning. We couldn’t proper sleep in our first night. Except that everything is perfect. Also I don’t like their bath towels.
Property is like a Hindu sanctuary temple. Really liked it. I would say if you would like to experience Balinese local house, this is perfect property for stay few nights. Staffs are friendly. And they have their own restaurant reside with property. Breakfast is awesome.

AustraliaPeople having dinner outside your room on the lounge later at night which we thought was dedicated to only us. Shower drain was behind the toliet which was a bit weird but functional as there was no shower curtain which meant that the water went right up to the toilet. Was dry the next morning. Thats it. Was a very pleasant stay though.
Staff and Owners made you feel welcome, Closeness to all the Restaurants, Clubs, Shops, Market. Beautuful, peaceful place and so quiet even being in the centre of Ubud. The Balinese architecture, Bathroom was freshly done and bedroom painted. Quiet little cosy place, it was ike you were in the jungle with awesome statues and ferns etc. Breakfast was simple but nice especially included in the really good price of the room. The owner allowed me to pray in his temple and did the full blessings with incense and flowers, rice (need to wear your own Sarong which I have and asked for permission first). Comfortable bed as well. Restaurant is really nice with great food and prices, have eaten there before staying many times before. Eating breakfast outside the room with the atmosphere was really nice and pleasing. We were on the ground floor room. upstairs they had a balcony. Would stay there again if I was on a budget. But overall a great, pleasant experience. Suksema.

EgyptIt's my second stay here, the guesthouse is very beautiful with traditional scenery makes the stay very special. The location is excellent in the centre of Ubud, walking distance from all attractions, markets, restaurants, and cafes. The staff here are so friendly, humble, and respective. I highly recommend to stay here either if you're a solo traveller, couple, or small family.

CanadaIt's important to understand what they mean when they say that there is an onsite restaurant. The courtyard shown is also used as a public restaurant which means that if you think you will be sitting peacefully in the garden, you are competing for space with any one else who decides to come for lunch or supper, which is Ok unless they are a group of 6 or more who decide to smoke and talk across three tables. This was annoying for us because we had the double standard room on the ground floor. It opened out on to this area. Another issue with this room is that while the loft bed looks lovely, the stairs are very narrow and unstable. There are rooms on the second floor that may be quite lovely and avoid these issues but I would not recommend booking downstairs unless it's for a day or two and you plan to be out all day. Then it may be fine and the price is right for that. Having said that, I can't comment on the cleanliness of those rooms. Our room certainly needed more cleaning - the sink was grimy and the bedroom needed airing out. My impression is that more energy was invested in the restaurant than in the hotel.
The staff are wonderful, as is the case in many places in Bali - very generous and warm people. The rooms open onto a courtyard as shown in the picture and the place is beautiful, situated within a family compound with a temple. It was very special to see the family prepare the offerings every morning to lay at the entrance of each room - including in front of our own room.

Location, in the centre of Ubud but in a very quiet garden. The garden is beautiful and that is where you have breakfast in the morning, excellent breakfast (very good pancakes). The room was clean and beautiful as well. We had booked for two nights but ended up staying one more because it felt very comfortable!

United KingdomThe mezzanine floor seemed unstable to walk on. When we walked on the floor lots of wood pellets fell into the bathroom below which covered the sink..?
We liked how the room was designed, it was unique. The shower was hot and toiletries provided. Staff were nice. Aircon was good.

The terrace is very beautiful and has a relaxing atmosphere which makes it a nice place to read a book or to meditate. The Café has delicious food and the staff is very kind. The location is great! You are at walking distance of a lot of touristic places and there are many restaurants and shops near by.
