How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAmazing! We also saw so many monkeys as you’re next to the forest, book the whole villa if you can as it’s so chill and relaxing. You have a small swimming pool all by yourself. The rooms are super clean and they also offer laundry service for very cheap. The staff is very kind. Even if it’s not in the center you can get there with a 15min taxi drive
nothing to complain

Verified reviewProperty was beautiful and looked just like the pictures with pool looking out at jungle. Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Good selection of food and drinks. Location was very quiet and not much else options to eat out but the quiet location suited us for one night. Host very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you
Nothing but maybe they could make it more clear that there is a restaurant and bar onsite..as we spent a while looking for supermarkets for beers and wine before we arrived and we didn’t need to

Verified reviewThe hotel is beautiful. Staff were very helpful and kind. I would recommend staying at this hotel. Also, there are 2 waterfalls within walking distance from the hotel.
The hotel is 10-20 min taxi ride to Ubud. The hotel staff can help you book a driver if needed. There may be scooters available to rent at the hotel as well.

Verified reviewThis is a very beautiful place set in a stunning natural environment. All rooms have access to the infinity pool, which is a great bonus. My children especially enjoyed the private pool. The accommodation is surrounded by lush jungle, creating a peaceful and exotic atmosphere. The food was good, and the owner was very friendly and easy to talk to.
The staff spoke very limited English, which made communication a bit challenging at times. The location is a bit tricky when it comes to transportation — the host can arrange a taxi, but the price is slightly higher since the place is located further from the center of Ubud.

Verified reviewIt’s super quiet, good choice for food and the staff are amazing!
It is a 20-30 minute drive to the pain street of Ubud. We didn’t mind it however as it was nice and quiet. No hot water though, not sure if it’s like that all the time or not.

Verified reviewWe recently stayed at this villa in Ubud and overall had a peaceful time surrounded by nature. The location is truly beautiful—perfect if you're looking for a quiet, remote jungle experience. We loved the natural setting, but do keep in mind it comes with the usual elements of living in the jungle: mosquitoes, monkeys, and dogs are all part of the experience. The staff is very kind and welcoming, especially Wayan who made us feel at home. Communication could be a little challenging at times as most staff have basic English, but everyone was doing their best to help. The common pool area is stunning and definitely a highlight of the property. Breakfast was good and freshly made, though other meals are more in a simple, local warung style, and most items are frozen. They are still in the process of building and improving the facilities, and there’s clearly a lot of potential here. .

Verified reviewWe loved the facilities, the pool and spacious room for 3 people were great. The staff was very friendly and always wanted to help.
There was a little bit of construction which was quite noisy during our stay, and was a little further out than we expected.

I couldn’t ask for more peaceful place with an amazing team, everyone was so friendly, made me feel at home and helped me so much with everything I needed. The pool was stunning, you just feel that you live inside the jungle. There is also a beautiful waterfall in 5 minutes walking distance. Thank you so much Nanda and widyana(hope I wrote it right) Definitely will come back and recommend on your beautiful place Will miss you and the team ❤️🐋🐚🌺🙏🏼 Suksma

Verified reviewQuiet place, good area to have walks , a good waterfall closeby
I paid too much by booking 2 months early paid almost 56 dollars per day plus they charged 8 USD per day for extra bed which was too much in indo for this time of year, at the time of checkin I checked up the property was available for 35 USD per day, better properties are available nearby, UBUD centre is too far, so those wishing to go to market etc take care of this, plus they provide very little water in rooms, rest one has to go and fill oneself, don't understand why we paid si much of staff cannot even bring extra water, even hotels were cheaper in expensive area like Kuta at this time. In addition, some construction was going on at the villa, so there was noise throughout the daytime till 6 in the evening. D Nanda can be avoided if anything else available.

Verified reviewWe liked the breakfast very much🙏🏻 The staff and service was great and helpful. Also they have good, fast and cheap laundry service❤️🙏🏻
The bathroom ceiling wasn’t fully covered, so we had several geckos and spider in bathroom, (They cant enter the bedroom, bathroom door was quite sealed) 😞. Was little bit far from ubud center ( like 30mins)
