How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Delayed access to our room Arrived 12.00 expected 3.00 pm latest but was close to 4.30 pm then our beachfront deluxe ocean view suite was directly above the children’s daycare and playground ..demanded to be changed so after another 1hour were allocated to ground floor beachfront suite in another wing which was excellent..now 5.30

Verified reviewLarge, well maintained resort with exceptional staff. Despite the size, it felt tranquil and uncrowded. The pools were excellent and breakfast selection was great. The suites were a great option for families. Restaurants were good and there were a number of other places to eat within a short walk or taxi ride away.
As with most places in Bali the wine selection is dismal

Verified reviewBreakfast in Spices was fine - no children. The whole hotel was geared for families with young children and should be reported in hotel description. This was not happy with this - the level of noise - screaming kids was unacceptable for a relaxing holiday for people without children. The water sports was also a source of constant noise and coupled with the dreadful smell of petrol from the onshore breeze from the speed boats and jet bikes. The main restqaurant is little more than a free for all canteen and Spices was a haven for breakfast - no kids - most of the time (staff allowed them in on occasion. Overall a huge disappointment for a hotel with the reputation of the Conrad Hilton.

Almost no sunbeds on the beach, not enough sunbeds at the pool. Breakfast too loudy and too much chaos at the buffet

Verified reviewWe've enjoyed the food. We had half board, therefore We've had breakfast and we could choose between lunch or dinner. The food was fantastic. Rooms were fine, nothing to complain. The pool was great. The kids really enjoyed the pools. The beach is pretty good. Depends on expectations. If you expect a beach like in Maldives, then you're i the wrong place. At low tide, we could walk ok the ocean floor and see lots of things like enormous starfish. The prices are like in Europe but the difference is that this is Conrad Bali. Overall, it is good value for money.
Maybe from a customer service, they could be more proactive. We reserve a room, but it was not available at check-in. We've moved the next day, but this is far from ideal.

Verified reviewBreakfast was great every morning a large selection of fruits , fresh bread , and a wide variety of hot food including omelette made to order . Fresh juice and coffee. The half board deal also included lunch or dinner every day . The food in all 3 restaurants was really good. The bar near the main pool also served good food. The resort was well staffed and kept nice and clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Both times I have stayed we had to get up early to secure a sunbed near the pool and they were all taken by lunchtime so there were a few occasions we struggled to find a chair anywhere

Absolutely the Worst Hotel Experience – Completely Unworthy of the Conrad Brand I have never had a worse hotel experience in my life than I did at Conrad Bali. This stay was a disaster from start to finish, and it is shocking that a hotel under the Hilton name would operate in such a negligent and careless manner. Upon arrival, I was given a room in a building that felt like it wasn’t even part of the main Conrad property. Although the room was large (100 m²), that’s the only remotely positive thing I can say. The rest was appalling: Electrical points were exposed and dangerous Furniture was visibly damaged Paint on the walls was peeling and looked like it would fall off AC was leaking water Walls were stained The room was dirty The bed was terribly uncomfortable It looked and felt like a rundown 1-star motel, not a supposed 5-star luxury resort. Worst of all, the room was absolutely not what was shown in the photos. I had to march to the front desk at 1:00 AM and demand either a proper room or a full refund. The night supervisor, Andik, eventually offered an “upgraded” room the next morning and agreed to refund the first night. The new room – an Oceanfront Suite – was thankfully far better and resembled what you’d expect at a Conrad. I was relieved… but the hotel wasn’t done ruining my stay. The very next morning, at 6:00 AM, I was rudely woken up by a bellboy ringing my doorbell repeatedly, despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being clearly on. All of that... just to deliver a dental kit I never asked for. And then came the final blow: at 8:00 AM, my "peaceful oceanfront view" was completely destroyed by a full-on wedding setup directly in front of my room. Loud music systems, flower decor mess, and workers shouting ruined any hope of tranquility. I was never informed by the hotel that a major event was going to happen outside my suite. This was not just poor service – it was outright disrespectful to a paying...

Dinner prices in all restaurants to high. Quality and type of food vs price not fair. Waiting time when ordering lunch at pool way to long. Could take up to an hour. Beach not nice and full of plastic. Not kept clean enough
