Reviews of Ceningan Cliff Cottages

The venue is both good and bad. It is set on the top of the island overlooking Nusa Penida which is exquisite, but it is a bit of a drive (or ride) on a bumpy dirt track (for the last part). This being said, it’s well worth the trip and when you arrive you feel like you are on your own private island with views that must be some of the best in Bali. If you’re willing to do the trek, it’s very worth it. Great pizza and exceptionally clean rooms with air conditioning. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Again, getting there is a bit of a trek. The rooms were cleaned after our first night, but then not again? This was a bit confusing as you don’t know whether to leave your room as is or put it together yourself. A bar fridge in the rooms would go a long way as we had to request our milk (which wasn’t supplied with the coffee and tea) to be placed in the bar fridge. Internet is intermittent - a must for travellers today.

I always return to Ceningan Cliff because of the warm, welcoming staff and the stunning location with views over Penida and the ocean. The pool is perfect for an early swim at sunrise, and the new bungalows are spacious, modern, and very comfortable. The food is tasty — I especially enjoy the chicken curry — and scooters are available to rent on-site. Personally, I love walking to Mahana Point, Blue Lagoon, or the Yellow Bridge. It’s a good workout since Ceningan Cliff sits on top of the hill, but the views make it worth it!

Spectacular location

Property is very cozy, location has a superb view. Its a bit far off the other places on the island, but you can rent a scooter and explore everything on Ceningan/Lembongan within a 10-30 minutes ride. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 7 nights and would definitely come back!

Food in the restaurant was so-so. But as you have multiple other options around, its not too bad :) Water in the pool was a bit dirty

Too remote if you cannot take a scooter. Roads are really bad and a taxi is 150k even for 5 minutes

Secluded, very pretty and the service was great and the food was nice.

When other people were there other than our group of 5 (only 4 rooms at the moment).

We had a perfect stay! Such a quiet and peaceful place with a great backdrop to spend the day in the pool. **You must be confident enough on a motorbike to scramble up and down the mountain road!

Everything was perfect

Great location with a magnificent view on Penida island. Nice swimming pool overlooking the sea. I have been coming to this place for years now but this is the first time I stayed in one of their rooms. I will come back for sure. I like walking so when to Mahana point, the yellow bridge by foot. Quite a hike but so nice. If walking is not your thing scooters can be rented on site. And most of all the staff is so nice and helpful. Highly recommended.

Roads to the property are pretty grim. Ok by scooter, but getting a car pickup takes forward planning and is logistically tricky.

The View with pool is amazing. Also the stuffs are amazing , offered me free pic and drop.

Cottages are clean with good air-con. Just what we needed for 3 nights. Views are incredible by the pool. Good selection of food from their menu, restaurant sits right beside pool with the amazing view. Rented a scooter for a good value that they provided to explore the island. Family & staff were extremely nice to us on our stay. Great value and really recommend this place.

Absolutely beautiful views, extraordinary swimming pool, super clean, quiet during the night, perfect for a calm spare time, super friendly family and staff, almost no one around. This family is working really hard to gave you a extraordinary staying. Very affordable price per night.
