How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location can be a bit far for those looking to be close by the beach and who don't have a scooter.
The spacious garden is a little oasis to recharge, it is quiet and serene. The pool is big enough to have a bit of a swim and there is free water. It was also clean and comfortable.

We’ve been traveling in Indonesia for a month and this was our favorite stay so far 😍 big comfortable rooms ,smart tv, nice hot shower and beautiful garden and pool area. Very peaceful waking up there and great staff also! Recommend 💯

I really enjoyed my stay at Caric Hotel in Canggu. The room was beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and the pool area was a perfect spot to unwind. The location is great—close to everything, but still quiet and peaceful. There was an outdoor kitchen available, which is a nice touch for longer stays. If we had more time, we definitely would have made use of it. I’m already looking forward to coming back and staying longer next time!

there were stains on the towels and they are very small

Not much at all apart from the mosquitos, but that's to be expected for this time of year. Maybe a bigger fridge in the room & some extra towels (hand towel & floor mat).
Perfect spot set back from the busy parts of Canggu 👌🏽 Close to my favourite gym, smoothie bar & burger joint, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The housekeeper was super lovely & Made the owner was a top guy, really friendly. If you want to be close enough to Canggu but far enough away to be quiet, then this is the spot!! I love this place & will definitely be back again.

The kitchen is not really to prep meals as such and there is no microwave or proper equipment to re-heat etc. There is a mini fridge in the room tho! Very handy
I loved the garden and the pool area as well as the room itself. The location is great as well, close to everything (Convenience stores, restaurants, cafés etc... on the main road). I will definitely stay there again!

It’s around 40 minutes walk to center of Canggu

the room
Its a nice hotel, with cool pool and outside zone, but the room itself is small and not really pretty. So if you need it only for sleep - its fine, but better to hung out outside. The staff is helpful. But I left the place after 1 night, because I expected more from the room.

All facilities are up to the mark. If possible, can arrange a 24 hours office support system or reception. But the management is truly helpful and supportive at any time. Well done Carik Bali Guest House.

Could do with a TV 📺 🤔
