United KingdomIt’s a 15 min walk from the harbour which is tricky with the heat and carrying luggage. But the horse and carriage is handy and solves this.
Simple, clean and comfortable. Because it’s a little further away from the main area and all the bars, it’s very quiet and peaceful at night so we got a good nights sleep! The hosts were amazingly helpful and made us feel very welcome. They helped us get to the other Gili islands too!

United KingdomThe shower was mostly cold or lukewarm. There’s no temperature control so if you want a really hot shower you can’t have one.
Toby and the boys were really great&friendly! The location is a short bike ride to the main strip or a 15 minute walk! Close by to good restaurants like “My House” Italian restaurant and “Carpe Diam”. The room was spacious and had a really comfortable bed :) great stay

I had the most incredible experience at Cape Rose in Gili Trawangan. The room was exceptionally clean, and though the bathroom was on the smaller side, it served its purpose perfectly. The overall property was stunning, but what truly made our stay unforgettable were the people we met there. The hosts were unbelievably kind and open-hearted. Each evening, we gathered around the pool, sharing stories, and engaging in delightful conversations. We learned so much about the local people, their incredible hospitality, and even had the chance to taste Arak and palm wine with them. Our connection with the host was so strong that he took us to his family's home in Lombok, showing us the beauty of the island. It was an unforgettable experience, and I can't express how grateful I am for the warm and welcoming atmosphere Cape Rose provided. This stay was beyond exceptional, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking not only a beautiful place to stay but also an opportunity to connect with the wonderful people of Gili Trawangan. Thank you, Cape Rose, for making our visit truly unforgettable!

GermanyThere was not hot/cold water in the shower. However, the water temperature was OK for taking a shower. No soap for the hand washing basin (but I had brought my own for such situation).
WiFi was stable and VPN-friendly (IPsec). All facilities were in good working order. The staff and the owner were very friendly and helpful. The small pool on the property was also nice - however I did not use it (too busy exploring the island).
