Thin walls that you could hear a lot through, however the owner was very considerate of noise and asked people to be quiet after 10pm which we appreciated.

Brilliant staff who were super friendly, attentive and helpful. Perfectly quiet location that was still close to everything you needed.

Bed was disgusting. Stains, only for a blanket that didn’t get washed in between guests, could feel the springs through the mattress. Bathroom was dirty. Curtain didn’t work

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice pool. My stay was quiet & peaceful. Great restaurant in vicinity - Suparman Pizza (though I mainly ate local dishes). The soto ayam & yellow curry were impressive.

It is basic but perfect for the price and location.

It was quiet, clean, they had bikes for rent and the staff offered to help in anyway they could. It’s a 5-7 minute walk to either side of the island so it was perfect!

The highlight of the stay at Cape Rose is definitely the team which is very friendly and caring. We had the chance to connect with them, get to know the local culture and share beautiful moments. They always prepared breakfast for us, offered drinks and tips. Really cute people ❤️

A lovely place to stay within a short walk from the beach. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are very kind, friendly and thoughtful. The pool is great to take a dip to cool off and the veranda is nice to be able to chill and to have breakfast. The omlette was delicious. A really nice, comfortable place to stay.

Just cold shower. No shampoo or soup

Staff very helpful. You can rent a bike from them. You can't hear the pray time from the mesquite so that's a pro if you want to rest. Pool clean.

The air conditioning was okay - slightly weak. There was no hot water but that’s expected on Gili T. The breakfast was very very simple, only option was a single plain pancake with no sauce but still made well. To our fault we lost our bedroom key, at the end of our stay Toby wasn’t around for the checkout and one of the younger boys charged us 400k for the lost key. This seemed quite steep but we paid either way. Once we had left Gili T, Toby messaged to say that we had been overcharged for the key replacement and was very sorry. Don’t know if this was a minor scam or miscommunication but don’t lose your room key!

The rooms were very clean, the hosts were very friendly and hosted us and the other guests to home cooked Indonesian food. Toby was a great host, very welcoming and personable. The pool was clean and location is great. The layout of the place is very peaceful and there’s a nice breeze - it doesn’t get too hot in the common area with good shade which is a plus! Shower pressure was good and loved the kittens ! Terima kasih bankyak! 🇵🇸❤️🇮🇩

The location was excellent. A close walk to the beach but far away enough so you don't hear all the party noise. The pool was lovely and refreshing. The rooms were very clean and bed very comfortable.

Accomodation was simple, but fully suficient and the shower could have been a little hotter. Again, finding a hair in the soup does not make sense, overall it was really nice.

Perfect place for escaping on Gili T. Very relaxing as a bit outside the party zone, but still close to the beach. Tobi and his team were so helpful with everything we come up, organised tours, transport incl. hints for good warungs. Majdi was there and we shared a lot of storys from South Africa to Turkey. Somehow we felt like part of the Cape Rose family. Thanks again!

Lovely pool with beanbags that gets the sun most of the day. Good location, quiet and no outside noise (apart from chickens) but that didn’t bother us too much. Staff very friendly. Room was clean

- very basic room - Some electronic fixtures wires visible - Bathroom very basic, no pictures on website, all in one shower room but very small so all of bathroom floor gets wet meaning of u have a shower then want toilet your feet get wet - Shower was cold often - Bed was very hard and creaked every time you moved in the night - Bedding was clean but only One green blanket provided as a duvet cover and one very flat pillow each. I had to put a decorative pillow under my actual pillow to plump it up. - Tv didn’t work, only one channel which was a teleshopping channel. Didn’t really need to watch anyway so didn’t report this to staff. - Lots of mosquitos in room as they were coming through small vents on the wall. We sprayed the room with mosquito spray and this seemed to make it abit better. - The morning we were checking out the toilet started gurgling and water that stunk came out of it. - Very dark room with one small window. However you need to keep the blind closed on it as anyone walking past can see in otherwise (close rooms together and staff passing by often). - upon arrival, we were so shocked by the room that we wanted to stay elsewhere but everywhere on booking.com was full so we had no choice.

- Mosquito net around bed - Staff very friendly and asked if we needed anything, welcomed us back each time and asked what we’d been up to. - Staff arranged for us to use an electronic scooter (we paid for). However the charge ran out very quickly and we didn’t get a full days charge out of it, despite only going round the island once. We had to come back and recharge before using it again in the evening. Unsure if this is normal or we got a faulty one. - Outside area is nice with bean bags and pool, however all of the rooms are close to it so you can hear everyone’s conversations at all times of day. One night there was a guest sat outside their room until 4am talking and we could hear them, as their room was so close. The reception is also close to the pool and rooms. - Owner is nice and upon check out offered to help us get our bags to the ferry terminal but we declined as we were fine to carry them ourselves. - It is probably not a bad stay for someone who has stayed in hostels previously and is wanting a private stay for a few days. But we were shocked that this hotel was one of the more expensive that we’d booked and it was the worst quality compared to others that were cheaper.

It was difficult to sleep, in the middle of the night some chicken were killed outside, it’s seemed like the next door from the hotel. The breakfast is poor. The were no cleaning of the rooms at all.

Owner over the phone was extremely rude, dismissive and hence why we left after one night to move to a different accommodation on the island. If you read the response to the reviews, you can see the type of character we are referring to. Wish we read these properly prior to coming and staying as the owners terrible attitude is very apparent in his responses.
