Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeBreakfast menu was quite limited
The hotel was easy to find just by the main road and had all the basic necessities. The rooms were cool even without fan and ac and they had hot water for shower. The hotel was facing rice fields and is just a short distance from the flower fields. Comfortable and relaxing stay

United StatesCouple watch-outs (that we were fine with but you should be aware of) - the room does get quite hot during the day, but if you are out and about, it shouldn't matter, and the hot water is limited, so it's hard to get more than 1 hot shower in at a time (if you space it out, it's fine).
Loved staying here! The view out onto the valley and surrounding mountains was really nice to wake up to. The breakfast area is also really nice. The staff was super attentive and accommodating and nice - Nico even got up at 2am to drive us to our trailhead, volunteered on his own to do so. If we come back to Sembalun, we will stay here!

United KingdomRoom got very hot during the day but there is air-conditioning to help and opening the doors allows a breeze. The driver we pre organised via booking chat didn't get booked, but the team at the hotel were very quick to help and make sure one arrived
Rooms were, spacious clean with large sliding glass paneled doors allowing a view of the fields The village it is situated in is very much of the beaten track and was lovely to walk through the village and experience a more local aspect of indonesia compared to other more touristy areas. The local people were all very friendly and offered greetings. Was a wonderful experience

United KingdomThe hotel unfortunately doesn't have a ramp; instead, it's accessible only by stairs. This can be challenging, especially for travelers with large and heavy luggage.
We stayed at a charming boutique hotel near a mountain, and it was amazing. The view was breathtaking, and the hotel was easy to reach from the main road. They had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the scenery, and I highly recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing getaway with great views.

NetherlandsThe construction can shake a bit during night, which can make sleeping a bit difficult. Also the food wasn't the best and the menu could be improved. There is a high chance that the food we ate there was linked to the "Lombok Belly" we got during our stay.
Great service from the staff and the view is stunning!

South AfricaThey keep the property lights on throughout the night, which is very bright outside of the room. Great shower, but hot water runs out quickly.
This is exactly what you want when you are in Sembalun. The rooms are beautiful, with an incredible view. Whilst the rooms are located on the road, (it can be quite noisy) we were here for the hikes- so were early to rise every morning. The staff are incredibly friendly and the food on the property was delicious! Try the soup ;)

Singapore1) The hotel does not have any air conditioning which I was told all around the accommodation is same due to the cooling temperature. However, it will be nice that the hotel has a fan because during the day, it can be quite scorching hot and stuffy inside the room. 2) It will be nice if rubbish can be clear everyday around the hotel premises as we noticed it’s all filled up for at least 2 days without clearance. 3) Main road right in front of the hotel can be noisy for quiet sleepers. 4) Limited food choices and varieties in the area and no restaurants or cafe to offer. Despite the respite.. we can live with above as it’s still under-developing rebuilding stage so we can fully understand. We love and adores the rustic untouch in the village with the majestic mountains and beautiful padi fields :)
Our family of 4 stayed from 21 ~ 23 Jun 2023 ( **2 nights ) at Bukit Tiga Lima nestled strategically in Sembalun Bumbung. By far, this hotel is the best around the vicinity which the village is quite under developed and untouched. The hotel has 5 rooms and clean. The staffs are all very friendly and goes an extra miles to help make our stay comfortable. Pak Taufik is especially helpful and friendly bringing us around to ensure my family is well look after with his attention. The area has nothing much to offer except the beautiful and majestic mountains for avid mountain climbers in Sembalun as their accommodations stay which we noticed. We loves the mountains and the padi fields just right at our door steps which Bukit Tiga Lima is built on. The sunset and sunrise is awesome to say the least which is very relaxing and therapeutic retreat for my family :)

The room is very nicely decorated and clean. The area is picturesque. Staff were very attentive and accommodating. They booked almost all the activities and needs we had for the short time we were there. They frequently went above and beyond our expectations.
