The staff were amazing, so friendly & helpful, I forgot the female staff name but she honestly went above & beyond for me and the other guests, I really appreciated that Good WiFi, stunning views, I’m a light sleeper but managed to get a good night sleep in the bunk rooms, there’s a cheeky puppy there called Bolo

Out of all the hostels in stayed at in Indonesia, Bong Hostel secures one of the top spots! The view from your bed will be the nicest surprise, and the design itself is very creative and simply beauuuutiful. Best of all, the hostel staff are FABULOUS! I loved spending time with them and chatting to them for hours. Truly felt like a little home!

Beautiful place, nice staff and friendly roommates, calm also. I definitly recommend for backpackers staying in Nusa Lembongan !

Horrible experience

This hostel is visually cool and beautiful. The staff were all welcoming and kind. Everyone was always greeting you with a big smile and willing to help. Morning breakfast was ok.

On paper, and after reading the reviews, it is clear that you are paying for something incredible. However, unfortunately, our stay at Bong was disappointing. To start, the facilities clearly need maintanence. The showers have no pressure and is cold, which is common around the island, but considering the price this hostel charges we were expecting better. Furthermore, the first night we stayed at a bunk bed that had bedbugs. I woke up several times feeling bites on my body. At first, I thought it was mosquitos (which fair enough) but the next morning I woke up with several bed bugs corpses, blood stains (from them feeding on me) and a couple of living bugs. It was a big shock. The staff member helped me by organizing some laundry for my things, which was very nice, but on check out they tried charging me for it (needless to say I wasnt planning to do laundry, but with bedbugs its mandatory). The worst part was the "management". We tried contacting them several times and asked for a cancellation (we had 5 nights booked) because we clearly did not want to stay at a hostel with bed bugs, but we never got a real response. The staff also were not able to contact them. Long story short, the staff member refunded the one night with bed bugs FROM HIS POCKET MONEY. We then moved to a private room (which we had booked in advance). To our surprise, the room was extremely humid and reeked of swamp. Facilities looked dirty. Because management never replied, we couldn't get our money back and had to stay there regardless. In summary, Bong hostel is nice to look at but lacks proper management, maintenance, and cleaning. Plus, its far away from the "city" centre and located at the top of a very steep hill. If you do not feel comfortable riding a scooter then this is definitely not your hostel.

Very nice hostel. Gives treehouse vibes. The staff is very helpfull.

My stay it was quiet. Not very social, and you need to ride a scooter to go around.

Great location with very nice individual capsules to stay in. Staff were very friendly and able to drive us to the north of the island on scooters. Breakfast was included and was freshly made pancakes with watermelon which was lovely. A beautiful common area with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean.

Amazing view, helpful staff, shared dorm is very clean and comfortable. Great for relaxing!

Wifi was inconsistent so might be an issue for someone working remotely

Such a great experience at Bong Hostel, it was so beautiful with all the bunks having a view of the ocean and the staff was so helpful!

Breakfast included is every morning fresh baked pancakes with either Nutella or Peanut butter and some watermelon on the side. The view here is to die for, so beautifull! Every morning i woke up, I could see and hear the ocean from my cabin, they also have a cute little puppy named Bollo. The road to the hostel is a bit steep but the view and the hostel itself really makes up for it! I also had a massage on the premises of the hostel and this was the best massage i've ever had. If you still hesitate on booking, just do it, you will not regret it! All of this and for only 10 euro a night including breakfast, amazing!!

The hostel is located on top of a foothill and can be challenging to access by bike but the views are breathtaking. Breakfast was delicious (banana pancakes with peanut butter/nutella and watermelon). Staff was very helpful in teaching me how to ride a scooter for the first time (you need a scooter to get around the island). The beds were very comfy and have an spectacular view of the bay in the morning

The hostel has everything to be the best in Lembongan but it’s not there yet. There was often issues with no running water and no staff in the early hours of the evening or early morning should you need to discuss something or check out. There’s no activities in the hostel and tours are overpriced.

The staff are very friendly, the beds are quite comfortable, and the towels and sheets are clean. The property is also just a 5-minute walk from the beach.

The property is a bit older than it appears in the photos. The outdoor furniture (seats and bean bags) is quite worn, dirty, and uncomfortable, so there isn’t really a good common area to relax apart from your box/bed. Breakfast is very minimal—just two pancakes. The natural pool also looks a bit dirty and not very inviting.

Best hostel, amazing view and staff!!

The light in bathroom was broke and because it was evening both staff can fix that. So we took shower in the dark The lactation was terrible far away from everything. I rent a motor bike the first day 6pm returned it the next day 1pm they charged me two days price

Amazing panoramic views over the sea. Quiet location, felt more like a health retreat. Beautiful setting in lots of trees.

Very steep narrow track from the road up to the hostel. Not a nice walk in the dark as no lights. You really need a scooter as quite far from the town. Not easy if you have any mobility issues as hostel also has steep stairs up to the rooms.

I stayed 3 nights in this hostel. I really loved it, the staff are lovely and very helpful. And the dorm beds have an incredible view. If I were to return to Nusa lembongan I would definitely stay here again !
