How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great little units at good value. Stayed here one night before my Mt Bromo & Mt Ejen tour and it was perfect.

The cabins are not super well isolated from the noise

Bed was extremely firm and quite uncomfortable, could do with more than 1 pillow as you have no sitting area in the pod

You can hear everything, so people coming and going at 2/3am

It would be nice to have cabins with a sink and mirror. Bed was a bit too hard. For longer stays a bit more space for luggage would be nice.
The capsule was a good value for money. It was very clean and cozy. We usually don't sleep in hostels but would definitely come back! The wifi was also fast. We didn't use the breakfast. The bathrooms were cleaned quite often.

The coffee machine only works if you have an indonesian bank account / qr scan pay set up. This is mildly infuriating if you wake up and desperately need a coffee but there are a couple of good cafes serving great coffee just a few minutes walk away.
A clever little pod hotel which was good for a few nights in Malang. It was spotlessly clean and the pods were very comfortable. It is not a social place, but if you need somewhere to lay your head before and after Bromo or the waterfall this is a good spot that won't break the bank. It is safe and everyone who works there is very nice.

Didn't realise there are common bathroom/toilet in pods. So be careful when you book it.
It's nice and clean and right near the main attraction of the town including the heritage village. Staff spoke good English.

Had an amazing stay here! We stayed while doing the Bromo tour and they had everything we needed. Cosy little pod with a control centre for lights and relaxing sounds - perfect after the late night tours! Toilets and showers were very clean and looked after, staff were friendly and helpful too.

Great value for money! Extremely clean and comfortable rooms. Shared facilities such as toilets and common terrace were also great and very clean. Would definitely stay here again, had a great night sleep 😊

To checkin you need to download an app, but it's just a one time thing. To enter the area you need to change into their slippers, which is fine. However if you left your slippers outside of the shower room some other guests might take them by mistake. Same thing happened to my friend. Personally I find it a bit uncomfortable to wear some stranger's slippers...
It's very clean. Very hot and nice shower. Quiet. Large and comfortable bed. Adjustable AC and lights. Indoor bluetooth speaker to play music.

The AC was freezing cold. You have to download the app to check in. The mats are a bit hard.
The location is great. The facilities are clean. There's hot water in the shower. The WiFi is great.

Clean and very comfy pods. Bathrooms were always clean. Perfect stay if you go for an early Bromo Tour and don't want to spend much money on a room you barely sleep in. The pod doors could be a bit more soundproof and we had some families staying in the pods with children running around. But earplugs easily solved the issue

I guess for longer stay as it is a small space you can’t really unpack your bags but perfect for short stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Pods. It felt very futuristic and cool set up. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and it was a fun experience for sure. Great location and within walking distance from most things including the train station.

The only way to buy a coffee is with the QR code… If you don’t have it, better make friends with someone that have it (the staff helped me on that one)

However, the noise levels were a big drawback. It was quite loud even after 10 PM and started up again before 6 AM, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. While the location and cleanliness are excellent, the noise might be an issue if you're looking for a peaceful stay.
The hotel has a great central location, making it very convenient for getting around. The room and the common areas are clean, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating.
