How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThe location is good and the staff are always welcoming. Every time we stay we feel we are coming back home. The unique decorative objects both in the room and outside in the garden.
Some may find the price on the high side and it is just starting to show its age on the edges.

Verified reviewStaff was exceptional. They smile all the time, friendly and do their best to help you. Words cannot express their service. Pool is great. Rooms are comfy and big. They are exceptionally clean whenever you leave the room first thing staff asks that if they can clean it. We had lots of fun.
We thought hotel had a gym. Would be great to have one so you can workout and chill. Another small issue is water pressure at the showers. Temperature varies a lot as well as pressure. One second you are freezing another second it’s burning you alive.

Verified reviewWe were there for the honeymoon in a room with private pool. Stayed 3 days then went to Ubud. Staff is exceptional as anywhere in Bali. Great welcoming with drinks and desserts. They always make sure you are happy and enjoying. The room is very large with all amenities in it. It gets cleaned 2 times a day and sprayed for mosquitos. The breakfast selection was enough to kickstart the day. If you stay long it might get boring eventually. Location is optimal to reach nearby spots by walk(beach, cafes, shops). Overall, I can recommend to stay here.
-If you are looking for full privacy, this hotel is not the place. It is a small hotel so even private pool rooms are close to each other. -Breakfast was overall enough to start the day. However if you don't eat egg dishes, selections were limited. But I am sure staff will help if you ask from them.

There is no such a big things what we didn’t like. But only one thing what people should be careful it’s lizards. Few times they got into our room, but stuff bravely helped us to got them out!

Verified reviewVery nice boutique hotel, with lots of local art and charm. Would certainly go back. The restaurant was good, the pool was nice, and the room larger than expected. We liked our semi-outdoor private shower and toilet.
Staff constantly asking us to write a review... This is expected at the end of a trip but, for example, we would rather not be brought an iPad to write a review right after a meal.
