Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI don't have any complaints but if I had to nitpick and suggest something, adding Balinese cuisine options for breakfast on the menu at the cafe would be so nice.
The food was good, I loved the facilities (pool, jungle gym, yoga, cafe), staff was so helpful and kind, the entire place was beautiful. Not too far walk to town (10-30 minutes to most places) and gorgeous views. AC unit in room was strong and wifi was good.

United KingdomA lot of mosquitos but this isn’t the fault of the hotel. They very kindly provided bug spray and mosquito nets.
Beautiful accommodation, very cosy with very friendly staff and lovely facilities. The restaurant is also great with a variety of options for vegetarians and vegans too.

We loved our stay at Blue Earth Village so much, it felt like a home away from home! The team were all super friendly and warm. We happened to be there for the Ocean Roots Festival which was a lot of fun with extra events, incredible concerts, free intro to free diving classes, daily pranayama, etc. The facilities are amazing, we started our stay in Deluxe room 8 which was absolutely spectacular, with a magnificent view of Agung and the sea. We had 3 nights there and then had 3 nights in room 1, which was a smaller room but still beautifully furnished, sweet and cosy. The food at the on site restaurant was always delicious, the pool was refreshing, also a 25m lap pool and jungle gym for exercise. Mãrta’s yoga classes were fantastic and I also had an acupuncture treatment with her which was profound and very restorative. Would absolutely stay here again and can’t wait to come back!

SerbiaThe only thing that didn’t quite match the high standard of everything else was the bedroom, which felt a bit humid that combined with its small, low-set windows, gave the impression of being below ground level. However,, the room was clean and beautifully designed, and it felt like the hosts truly made the most of the space.
A wonderful experience, perfect ending of our Bali adventure. It truly felt like we were in a modern village that offers an authentic connection with nature, while also providing all the comforts and luxury through amenities like yoga classes, massages, open-air co-working spaces, a pool, and an excellent restaurant. The staff was very kind, yet discreet and genuine – unlike the overly formal or intrusive service you sometimes find at places like this.

GermanyRooms could be a tiny bit bigger. Massages/treatments have to be booked on advance because we didn’t got any spot once we arrived. Dinner table always needs reservation bc it’s very well booked :)
Nice hotel right above Amed with a spiritual vibe, lovely villas and great staff. The hotel area was quite huge with many hidden spots, the rooms had a lovely interior with a nice outside bathroom. The staff was exceptional. The breakfast and dood u can get all day in the restaurant was amazing.

AustraliaPillows! Definitely not comfortable and two each should be given - not have to be requested. Breakfast - really poor. Even though the bread is home made, it was not good which is a shame because the views from the breakfast area are incredible… but sadly the breakfast itself was not incredible. A fridge would be good too, especially as the room was $150 a night, I did expect to have a fridge.
We were in room 8. What we loved was the quirkiness of the room/resort, lots to explore. The room reminded me of Havana. The little balcony was so cute, I’m sure that the fan was an antique! Lol! The views across Jemeluk to Mt.Agung are stunning. We chose this resort as it is right next to the best snorkelling beach and bars. We enjoyed the very small pool after a day at the beach, it was like a natural pool in a jungle, very private and not another person in sight.

This eclectic property has many spots throughout to relax and/or comfortable work spaces. The onsite restaurant, yoga shala, workout space, and pools are nice amenities. Gorgeous place to watch the sunset.

United StatesIt would be nice if they offered a smoothie bowl for breakfast in the complimentary breakfast menu. Also recommend washing the yoga mats, they needed to throw washing and were stinky.
Great views from the restaurant. Yoga classes were great. Seems like a really neat community. There is a lot of construction going on but they tried to keep it quiet until guests were awake.

GermanyWiFi in the co-working space hardly working. This is not a 5-star-luxury resort. Be prepared for some nature! Eco-friendly means they don't kill all the insects. There's also animals in the vicinity = some chicken might cry at 4am. To get around, you may need a driver or scooter.
Eco-friendly village with all included: Rooms/bungalows, restaurant. Co-working space, pools, yoga shala, regular events, some cafes walking distance. Clean. Friendly staff, some level of comfort. Great yoga classes with teachers, who know their stuff and show attention to detail. My 3rd trip to this place.

GermanyThis was an excellent place to find a balance between screen time on laptops in the work area with great WiFi and service and things like snorkeling or sightseeing, the pools, gym and yoga shala are great facilities, the staff is very professional, and we often ate at the restaurant, which has plenty of vegetarian options, good breakfast and the best view in Amed. The view of Gunung Agung is excellent. We enjoyed our stay!

AustraliaFor 80-90 per night, the rooms are tired, especially the bathrooms. All over Bali I was paying half this price for much more modern rooms and bathrooms. The property needs to be updated. Rotten wood everywhere and very old bathroom fixtures.

GermanyThere is insect repellent & staff, but still, this place is in the middle of nature. You should expect some nature. WiFi is not super-perfect in all places at all times, but you get used to it. 3-hours transfer from Denpasar + traffic jam. Likely, one of the most expensive places in Amed. If you´re the luxury type, stay in the South (or Canggu, for that matter).
Nice breakfast, flexible timings. Comfy rooms with outside shower / bathroom Enough stowage options Moderate aircon. Friendly staff. Everything in reach (e.g. if weather is rainy, you can get food / workspace / pool / Yoga all within Blue Earth Village). Peaceful set-up.
